Makes it a hell of a lot more fun! Let's face it, after a month-plus of watching OSU face one nobody after another, it's nice knowing that virtually every game (minus your Nebraskas and Penn States) have the potential to be a down-to-the-wire thriller.vball10set;1365999 wrote:The B1G's a bitch, ain't it?

Indiana (except Zeller) looks really flat against Wisconsin so far. I expect they'll turn it on in the 2nd half.

Or not. IU still playing like crap and very much looking like they'll lose this game.gorocks99;1366886 wrote:Indiana (except Zeller) looks really flat against Wisconsin so far. I expect they'll turn it on in the 2nd half.

Great atmosphere in Bloomington tonight.
And I love Bo Ryan. He's so ------- focused.

To be fair, Wisconsin usually has one of the most efficiently run offenses in the country for what they do. I am a fan of uptempo basketball, but I enjoy watching Bo Ryan's team play. The last eight minutes has been rough for the Badgers, though, as IU has really turned up the defensive pressure behind Oladipo. But that's primarily because Wisconsin does not have a true point guard.

And then Jackson drills a pull up like he is 9-9. Has his fathers swag.

A little disappointed that Bruesewitz and Sheehey didn't get into a brawl that resulted in both getting suspended for the season.
Really bad loss for IU.

Wisconsin is a team that appears to be finally putting it all together. They could easily sneak into the Elite Eight behind Bo Ryan's lead. Tonight they had the look of a team with supreme confidence, and that's exactly what it lacked earlier in the year. Jimmy's son is a player, and so is Bruesewitz.

It's gonna be a great season in the B1G. Four losses might take it.

I know layley thinks hulls is the best shooter in America. But I think he hurts them. I think he was good when athletically he wasn't worse then everyone else IU has, but now he is their most unathletic player and he just doesn't seem to fit in. And he was getting blown by easily by his man. I think he's pretty overrated.

Wisc is known for shutting down great three point shooters. He is shooting over 50% from behind the arc....the numbers speak for themselves. When the offense is going well and flowing he gets his open looks and knocks it down. When they face teams who bring as much attentio nto him like Wisc IU needs to find a way to take advantage of that with drives knowing his guy will not help.Midstate01;1366978 wrote:I know layley thinks hulls is the best shooter in America. IU didnt clamp down on their defense until late in the game. It was like they thought they could flip the switch and do it. The problem with that is that things have to go just right to win. The off balance shot that put Wisc up three was the dagger. He was well guarded, no one was open to pass to, and the shooter was in no position to shoot but did his best heave and pray...and it went in.
Early on ya could just see IU getting outhustled to some loose balls. Passing and rebounds bouncing off their hands, etc.
Hulls did sink two three pointers immediately after the whistle blew on some plays. He def has a place in this offense. With Zeller down low getting his looks, as well as WOfford, and Oladipo and Feller driving to the hoop I think that Hulls plays an important part on the team. Help and he is open for a 3, of which he hits over 50%, and dont help and a drive to the hoop.
Sheehee didnt come to play last night. Pretty athletic white dude but not a fan of his. Just seems a little selfish at times, and I cannot remember the game but I remember last year he got yanked for playing poorly and he just seemed to pout on the bench the rest of the game. I think he plays an important part as well though.
I think 2 points by the bench last night? That doesnt work.

Here are the games remaining against top contenders (teams that are currently ranked (Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Michigan State, Illinois) or will be ranked in the next poll (Wisconsin)):
Wisconsin:
4 home (MSU, MN, MI, OSU)
4 away (OSU, IL, MN, MSU)
Michigan:
4 home (OSU, IL, MSU, IN)
5 away (MN, IL, IN, WI, MSU)
Indiana:
3 home (MSU, MI, OSU)
5 away (IL, OSU, MSU, MN, MI)
Minnesota:
4 home (MI, IL, WI, IN)
3 away (WI, MSU, OSU)
Ohio State:
5 home (WI, IN, MN, MSU, IL)
4 away (MSU, MI, WI, IN)
Michigan State:
6 home (OSU, IL, MN, MI, IN, WI)
4 away (WI, IN, OSU, MI)
Illinois:
3 home (MI, WI, IN)
4 away (MSU, MN, MI, OSU)
Some teams have it easier (MN, IL) than others (MSU) with respect to their remaining schedule. But pretty much everyone has at least two games they will not be favored in.
