Or vomit. Either way ...

Theoretically, the preference of vomit or dung could be an opinion as well.

At that point, I am comfortable assuming it to be ribeye. However, I suppose I don't inherently blame someone for being skeptical.
Indeed.

Where do I deny it is about people? I merely stated that I had yet to say it was.

Then, where do I assert it is about people? I merely reply to someone else who does.

If the Ribeye is indeed Ribeye it is the choice.

If instead it is really just a weird mix of vomit and cow dung that neither appeals to cow dung fetishists nor vomit lovers and only appears to be Ribeye to a particularly small deluded mass of the population I suppose you go with either vomit or cow dung depending on your preference.

If that were to be the case, I'd absolutely agree with you.

Say ribeye is really ribeye originally and goes to the dinner and once he gets there he finds out he's the only ribeye around. And with no friends he's less than vomit or dung bc there's power in numbers. So then ribeye is less appealing to the masses than dung or vomit. And he then is forced to choose to be dung or vomit. Either way, he's no longer a ribeye.

Luckily the ribeye doesn't appear to be the type to pander to the masses to gain popularity.

I don't believe ribeye is a cut of meat that has cognitive abilities.

Actually, in my parellel, the options aren't people. ;)

Meat does tend to be this way across the board.

You'd never get to taste the ribeye bc it'd be covered in vomit and shit.

Yeah, but if ribeye gets ~6 votes it'll get a decent chunk of seasoning for tomorrow's dinner vote.

Yes, the preference can be, but it doesn't change the fact that they are definitively vomit and dung.

What scares me is that no matter how good the ribeye tastes, it always ends up being vomit or manure. Always.

Every cut of meat on Mt Beefmore started out as a ribeye.

How is that different in the parallel?

It certainly seems that way down the road.

The problem is you are actually voting for cowdung, you just assume everyone else perceives it as ribeye because you do. You also assume, incorrectly, that everyone else perceives the other two candidates as equally shitty.

That said, I'd rather eat cowdung than vomit. But to your point I'm actually taking the ham sandwich as opposed to dog-doo and cardboard box. You can vote for the cardboard box and pretend it's ribeye.

And it was tried months ago. Not very many people liked it and so it's no longer on the menu. So one might argue we already KNOW it to be manure also. But apparently it's a particularly appealing blend for some.

Because, if you put dung, vomit, and Ribeye in front of 101 people, those 101 people take the Ribeye, because they know definitively that those are the choices. No matter how many people try to tell me how delicious the dung and vomit are, I'm still taking the Ribeye because it's more appetizing to the eye. In a political race, people's opinions shape what they believe are dung, vomit, and Ribeye. What I believe to be dung or vomit, you may believe to be Ribeye.

Maybe, maybe not. But I will always take a chance on unknown success over a proven failure.

Look, a 3rd party has to have about 30% before it can be taken seriously as a threat to win an election. And it won't matter if they 49% if Dems have locked-up over 50%.

You just can't ignore the short-run. The election process is one of building consensus. Your guy went thru the primaries. Your guy could run as a independent. For the majority of voters, his shit stinks even if you think it doesn't. But back to the building a consensus. That's the system, you can participate in it or not, but don't fool yourself into thinking your protest vote is going to make a difference. Grass roots/change do not begin on election day.
