He shouldn't have played to begin with. You could tell the way he was running he was hurt pretty bad. It would have been better to let him rest up and get healthy

I agree. He's a very competitive guy I would be worried if he didn't want to be out there.

i'm with with you on that. the problem in the heckert era is that all the players that come in and look like "our young core" in their rookie years, crash hard back to earth in their second years - whether it be from injury or just overall regression. hard to build the team going forward when the progression of individual players seems so stunted

I agree with this. Had a feeling he was coming back too soon. The Colts were expecting Richardson. Maybe starting Hardesty might have thrown them off a tad? Who knows?

A new/good head coach & owner will make a world of difference, imo. We saw Haslam in his suite yesterday. If he could've reached down to the field and strangled Shurmur at that moment I think he would. I'm optimistic because I just don't see Haslam settling for mediocrity.

Shurmur is a friggin abortion. Didn't watch the Pitt/Cincy game but I heard there were two instances where their coaches had to make the same decision that Shurmur made yesterday. They did the opposite, with success.

Yup. Somebody has to make those "if this, or that" type of plays, and the Browns simply don't make those plays.

this! If I got one positive from watching the game yesterday, it was that Halsam sure looked like he didn't like what Shurmur was doing on the field. It's apparent he (Haslam) is competetive and wants to turn this arund quickly. I'm hoping he was thinking (on the 4th and 1)-- "This guy has got to go!" It doesn't sound up to now like he has any intention of making a move til the end of the season; maybe Shurmur will be so incompetent he'll force Haslam's hand.

Don't know the quote verbatim but when they interviewed Banner his comment was essentially "if we're rebuilding this thing in 5 years we are total fuckups." They expect results, FAST, and I don't think you'll get excuses/spin from this new ownership.
