Baker sucks, Stubbs sucks, Rolen needs to not play every game in the post season, and Baker really blows sometimes. Wouldnt surprise me if he throws out the same effin lineup tomorrow, but hoping he gives Heisey and Frazier starts.

I heard Simon...lol

I'd save Latos for game 5.....Latos threw 4 innings on 3 days rest and Game 4 would be 3 days rest.

IMO he far more likely to be our stud on Thurs rather than Wed. I trust him either day and Bronson could go game 5.

Start LeCure, bring in Simon, Arrendondo.....and it things are going well bring in the stud relievers.....if not fresh Latos and stud relievers.

Pitching Latos tomorrow might be like moving Votto to LF to keep Alonso....making 2 lessers instead of 1.

How's Johnny? Why do you want to save Latos for a game 5? Just win game 4 with your best. You can pitch Latos at least 5 innings if he can, then get to the bullpen. Then say they win with Latos pitching tomorrow and they can get right back on there playoff roation, assuming Johnny is good to go for the NLCS. Cueto, Arroyo, Latos, Bailey. Every starter gets the normal rest before the next series.

I just told why.

Johnny has a slight lat strain I believe.

Dusty lost this game. Proper move...walk Arias.

You have the pitcher on deck, who is also the closer and the guy you KNOW Bochy wants to pitch next. The Giants had one position player left. Load the bases, force Romo to hit or leave the game, make the SFG use their final position player and take your chances. This would've given the Reds an even greater advantage as the game went deeper as the Giants would have to bat their relief pitchers.

Normally, I don't blame Dusty. His BLATANT FAILURE to properly manage the situation lost the game. Forget removing Chapman. Broxton has been BETTER than Chapman in the last 6 weeks. No fault there. The simple oversight of facing a speedy hitter like Arias puts pressure on your defense after Hanigan's passed ball. You simply don't do it.

But Dusty's excuse for not using Chapman again in the 10th was "We may need him again tomorrow" -- Get out of that inning w/o any runs, win the game and there wouldn't be a game tomorrow genius

I'll defend Dusty not using Chapman again. Broxton has out-performed Chapman lately, the entire pen was rested and Chapman struggled on Saturday and had an extended outing.

He played that part by the book, bringing Aroldis in to start the 9th given that it's a home game and a possible series clincher.

On another thought....Homer outstanding, Marshall and Chapman very good....the more guys you use the better the chance you're going to run into someone not on their game.

Aroldis was comfortable and cruising.

Not as big as not walking to face the closer.

Read two blog posts and no questions for Dusty about decision to not pitch around Arias. Not surprised

They did ask about Heisey / Frazier and he gave an answer I don't quite understand. Something about the time of day that the games take place on

This is the third instance where I can rattle off specific game dates, pitch-by-pitch, BLATANT MISTAKES by Baker. Not subjective ones of why not start this guy or why not leave this starter in the game, no. These are actual statistical/stretegic mistakes made.

He has a great track record, all the credit in the world for 97 wins, etc...but this loss is on him and the sole blame is on that decision. Forget Phillips' baserunning blunder, Hanigan's passed ball, Rolen's error. Sergio Romo's chances of driving in that run is probably somewhere around 2.5% (conservative, considering he's batted 4 times ever and made contact once). Lets say hitting for Romo were to occur, you bring in Hector Sanchez who has lets say a 40% chance of bringing the run in. If the run scores, you at least raise the chances of getting the run back as the Giants would have to go with Lincecum or Mota.

You have 2 situations. Different odds for each depending on DUSTY'S MOVE. He allowed the Giants to have the better odds in BOTH when he could have at least reduced their odds in one of the situation. There's no excuse and he should be asked these questions. It's like a wrong answer on a math exam. I don't give a damn how many right or wrong steps you made in "showing your work", if the final answer isn't right, it's wrong

Fay and Sheldon eat out of Dusty's hand. Sheldon's post is up and no mention of that decision in his article either

Apparently bailey said leake will start tomorrow. I have very little faith in him getting the job done. I expect a homer feat tomorrow. Hopefully reds get a few themselves.

Yep. Looks like they made their decision. Sounds like it's going to be Cueto deactivated, Leake starting game 4 (vs Zito) and Latos going in game 5 (vs Cain, if necessary).

A nightmare chain of events for the Reds.

Fay and Sheldon rely on the stream of information coming from the Reds, they're not going to burn bridges by questioning anything done within the organization.
