Big games tonight in Minneapolis and Tallahassee as the Indiana Hoosiers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons look to keep their winning streaks alive.

Not very many good games tonight at all. Although, I am looking forward to getting a closer look at Memphis. I've heard good things, but normally every time they play there is a higher-profile game on TV. Not the case tonight, so I want to see what they got.

I'm trying to talk myself out of this because I really haven't seen either team play this year so I'm going in blind, but I really like Air Force -4 tonight over Wyoming. AFA has lost 4 of 5 games, but 3 were on the road. In their last 3 home games the Falcons beat SDSU, beat UNLV, and lost in OT to Colorado State. They're a pretty solid team on their own court.

They won by 9 in the earlier matchup @ Wyoming, and in WY's last 5 conference road games they've lost by 13, 12, 19, 7, 28.

Depending on how my parlays and teasers and moneyline and spread picks go tonight -- yeah, I didn't cash out, because, well, I need a sponsor -- I may give the Air Force pick a shot. I am definitely not a big believer in Wyoming. That hot start to the season for the Cowboys was a complete mirage.

Memphis getting smoked at Xavier tonight. Might hurt the Tigers' seeding in a major way if they lose by double digits.

They shouldn't be. They lost to Illinois and Butler, while neither is a terrible loss, neither team is currently ranked.

Their only "good win" is over Oklahoma State. While they do have a good record, the quality of their competition just doesn't justify it. At best they should be around 4-6 range. For sure I'd take Indiana, Duke and Michigan over them, and possibly Miami and/or Kansas.

Well, my post obviously wasn't from the future, so I don't see your point. They were down 12 when I posted.

Anyway, Memphis lost by two. And Xavier hasn't been playing very well recently.

Florida in peril at The Summit. Vols up six. Seven left.

Not a good night for the top dawgs.

Mark Few on ESPN News speaking of the possibility of Gonzaga jumping to No. 1:

"It would be something that we haven't accomplished yet in this program. We've had a great run over these last 14 years and there really isn't that much left that we haven't done."

Aside from advancing to the Elite Eight, advancing to the Final Four, advancing to the national championship game and winning a national championship, everything in that statement is true.

I'm sorry, but Dan Monson got Gonzaga to the Elite Eight in 1999 and, despite supposedly building Gonzaga into this perennial power -- the so-called best team on the West Coast, according to some over the years -- Mark Few has never got them back. So when he starts talking about the importance of being No. 1 as one of the last milestones for his program to pass, I just have to shake my head. Gonzaga has only been to the Sweet 16 twice since 2001.

I tend to agree with a lot of what you say regarding Gonzaga and the post-season.

But I have been high on them all year, and I see them making it to the Elite 8 this year. After that, the tourney is a toss-up, in many regards.

That's a big win for Tennessee.

They play at Georgia, at Auburn and Missouri at home. If they go 2-1, with one of those wins being Missouri, or better, 3-0, they probably will see their RPI crack the top 45 and SOS in the top 25. They also have recent wins over Kentucky and Alabama, which gives them that argument as well.

While I think everyone here knows how far I think Gonzaga will go (lol), I do see why you are so high on them and think they could be a scary team if they really do play to their potential. They have great size, great guard play and great shooting. And while I don't think their talent matches the talent of, say, Indiana or Duke or Michigan, that combination of factors is all you need to make a run in March. Great guard play and shooting can take you to a championship. And as a bonus, they've got two solid big men to compliment that perimeter game.

I'm simply not sold on Few being able to be the guy to make that happen in the tourney and put his team in the right position to win. He hasn't proven anything to me in the postseason. And the CYO tournament he wins almost every year before the real tournament doesn't count.

Also, I just got to thinking.

Are we still going to proclaim this year to not be a down year?

The parity is great. The games in the Tournament will be exciting. But please. Already...

#8 loses in a game they were favored, albeit against a quality opponent (NCAA team)
#9 survives a road game in OT, albeit against another quality opponent (NCAA team)
#1 loses on the road to a quality team (NCAA team)
#8 loses on the road to a quality team (possible NCAA team)
#19 who won 19 straight prior, loses on the road to an average at-best non-NCAA team

Tomorrow, I would not be surprised if UConn beats Georgetown and San Diego State beats New Mexico.
Thursday, Duke is at Virginia and Gonzaga is at BYU.

It's insane that by the weekend, half the top 25 could have already lost.

Finally, I'll be done replying to myself.

Kentucky controls their own destiny.

Win out in the SEC, they win the conference.
Go 2-2, they might be out of the NCAA Tournament.

Had they won that game of first-one-to-10 they played with Georgetown, the Vols would be in right now IMO.

They blew a lead late in that game too. Also, their last possession was terrible.

Agreed. Both of those teams are playing much better right now.

Did anyone see the footage of Jarnell Stokes' little brother?

6'7, 240 lbs, 13-years old. States he can take Jarnell one on one. Crazy.

If he's smart, he'll give up football and stick to the hardwood.

I'm with Rec on the Zags in the past...although I never have them going deep in my bracket, so I'm not so venomous towards them :D

I do see them at the very least making the SS, and probably the EE. But I wouldn't be surprised if I pick their opponent in that SS game, if it's a solid disciplined team.

"The Big 12 Conference acknowledges that officiating errors were made at the end of regulation during last night's Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game," the conference said in a statement released Tuesday. "The plays have been reviewed and appropriate measures will be taken by the Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials to adjust the number of future assignments for the two officials involved in conjunction with Conference policies."

GREAT game on ESPN2 between Georgetown and UConn right now. UConn just tied it up with a 3 with 2.2 seconds to play after G'town missed the front end of a 1-and-1
