But a great heads up play to just throw the ball up at the end.

you think louisville did enough to unseat indiana out of indianapolis?Ironman92;1407101 wrote:The #1 seeds are set.

Agreed. You could make the argument for Miami, I guess, but KU has more wins (13) against projected NCAA teams than any other team in the country and Miami slipped up more times against teams it shouldn't have.Ironman92;1407101 wrote:The #1 seeds are set.

If Miami wins the ACC tomorrow, I imagine the preferred location for Hurricanes would geographically be in D.C, which I think would send Duke to the Midwest.
If Duke is able to pull a 1980 U.S. Hockey and win two games and get to Indy, that'd be great. That's a short car drive for me.

While I agree that the West will most likely be the weakest region -- at least in terms of the top seed -- I would think that OSU would want to say at home in Big Ten country in Indy, no? Ohio State fans travel well and I can't imagine that Louisville, even though it's not that far from Indiana, would have more fans than the Buckeyes in a game being played in a bordering state.Midstate01;1407123 wrote:Osu is going west I think dayton for first round, then LA. Lots of alymni in California and could be weakest region.

1. Not sure their resume is better. I know the DEEPER you go, it might be. Like top 50 wins. But go top 25 wins and you have a 7-4 advantage for IU. IU won a better conference outright in the Reg. Season. Does LVille have a single road win better than OSU/MSU/Michigan? IU won at all those places, and Kansas is the only other team to do so. The rest of the country I think went 0-50 (If I remember correctly) at those venues combined. @ Cuse is their best...
2. Even if both are viewed as 1a and 1b, I think geographically it makes more sense for LVille to go East where they have a better following than Indy. $$$ wise and fan support wise.
3. IU has been viewed as the #1 in the Midwest for weeks. The committee weights the conference tourneys heavily, but is a loss to Wisconsin enough to unseed them?
I, for one, would love to be out West with Gonzaga!reclegend22;1407131 wrote:While I agree that the West will most likely be the weakest region -- at least in terms of the top seed -- I would think that OSU would want to say at home in Big Ten country in Indy, no? Indiana's 7 best wins are ranked 8, 8, 9, 11, 16, 18, 18 in the RPI, where Louisville's are ranked 12, 13, 14, 35, 36, 36, 43. Indiana's worst loss was to the #38 RPI, where Louisville's was to the #52.
