Florida St should be lower than 12th. OU deserves to be in over Boise St and SCum

Top 10 is about right.
Although, I'd put USC ahead of Oregon St. But still the Beavers are a rarity in the Pac-12, a defensive, run first team.

Still, in the next few weeks the polls shake up even more as WVU still plays Kstate and South Carolina plays and Florida, and LSU.

Michigan in the top 25 is an absolute ******* joke. When exactly did beating Purdue become a big win? Considering they beat Umass and Air Force. Why not put Michigan in the top 10?

Only reason OU is not in over Michigan is one asshole voter from California voted Michigan 14th

I guess I'm alone, but I still think Michigan is around 15 or so. They have both losses to top 7 teams and they moved the ball against ND but just turned it over nonstop. I understand people saying they shouldn't be ranked or should be 25, but they are underrated IMO.

Coaches poll has been added.

Though it's on a technicality (OSU situation), for the first time ever the B1G is shut out of the coaches poll.

So you want them at 15 for losing two games against good teams? Beyond that they haven't done much. They have a close win over Air Force (nothing impressive). They spanked UMass (hooray?)... and they have a decent win over Purdue (who only has wins over Eastern Michigan, Eastern Kentucky and Marshall).

If a team is going to be 3-2 and expect to be 15 or so... they need at least 1 really quality win, which Michigan doesn't have.

Before last night, where did OSU have any impressive wins? They were undefeated, yes, but hardly impressive enough wins to be in the top 15 themselves. They struggled against UAB and Cal, should have been blowouts, and one by a point over a Michigan State team that everyone agrees was very overrated. So is a win over Nebraska worth a #8 spot?

First time ever. Amazing. Shows how terrible the B1G is. How much of a comeback will the B1G make before the end of the season?

Yes, because all of the undefeated teams with better resumes are ranked #'s 1-7, and then they fit in there next before the 1 loss teams and some of the undefeated teams who have played absolutely no one.

I should have clarified, I still think they're around the 15th best team in the nation, so thus, underrated. I understand their ranking, just think they are a team that is better than they are ranked, that's all.

I don't think MSU was very overrated (as a 20ish team). Did you forget that MSU beat Boise State (who is currently in the top 25 in both polls) at home? OSU went into the same atmosphere and beat MSU. Both the MSU and Nebraska wins are quality. They aren't amazing, but OSU does have a couple solid wins on their resume at this point.

Good is stretching it. They beat two alright teams.

The Big Ten rep at the Rose Bowl will probably have 3 losses.

The epidemic of broken ankles around here has been attributed
to the massive amount of FSU fans jumping off the bandwagon.

Just hoping to see Ohio crack the Top 25 once before the season ends.

Kind of surprised they haven't yet.

LSU sure did a lousy job of scheduling. 5 ranked teams in a row they got to play, with 3 of them in the top 10

LSU makes its own SEC schedule? Wow. That's pretty impressive.

I recall the same argument from some folks a few years back when 3 or 4 Big Ten teams were ranked in the Top 10.

It went something like this, "Gosh, it's a shame that the Big 10 is so tough. The teams are so busy beating up on each other that it's no wonder just one or two are left standing at the end of the season."

Blah, blah, blah

The $EC is currently the toughest football conference. You'll get no argument from me on that point.

But it stands to reason that $EC schedules are tough and the best in the conference are bound to defeat the second best and so on.

LSU lost but being from the best conference money can buy, the Tigers can still win out, play in the $EC championship, and then play in the NC.

In most other conferences even 1 loss almost assuredly knocks you out of the NC title race.

Keep your chin up, bro. You only have to beat #3 South Carolina, #22 Texas A&M, #1 Alabama, and #19 Mississippi State to get there.
