As I understand it, any page on the sitemap has to be compliant, meaning that the Basement would still need to comply even without the ads on it.

What's more, Google has likely flagged this site as more prone to breaking rules, having had AdSense banned once already. As such, the bots (spiders) will be here more often than a normal site.
