2 things worry me.....

Reds haven't hit in 6 weeks and the Giants have went 10-0-1 in their last 11 road series.

Not using Latos in SF really bugs me.

2-3 format makes the Giants favored in my mind. I really hope I am wrong.

Dusty wont be back if the Reds do not get past the 1st round. Should be Cueto-Latos starting Games 1 and 2 then Arroyo and Bailey.

I don't think Dusty will be back regardless. He's been in professional baseball as a player, coach or manager from 1 month out of high school and 43 of the next 44 years (sat out 2007....did some commentating and baseball talk shows)....young son, questionable health.

Ehh I think this season has bought Dusty another two years.

You might be right. The mini stroke might cause him to rethink things.

Does Speier get elevated? Or would David Bell get the nod? I've heard LaRussa's name whispered but doubt he would get it based on the Reds-Cardinals stuff he's been involved with. Most of the current Reds enjoyed tweaking LaRussa while he was over there

Just don't know....Dusty may still have the burn, but he's a good guy and his son should be getting pretty big into the game around now....but my 43 of 44 year point could also be impossible to do something else....but stress is getting him a bit and that can scare a guy.

And instead of getting hot...we are getting no hit in the 5th.

I'm more pissed about Frazier not getting playing time. Rolen blows.

Frazier will be the starting 3B next year as I think the Reds will just say "Thanks and goodbye" to Scotty. Then I wish they would just plug in Heisey in CF and cut bait with Stubbs but know they won't...Heisey IS a better bat and just as good a CF as Stubbs...not as fast, but just as good. Then in 2014 will probably be the arrival of Hamilton in CF. I think having Bruce, Heisey, Ludwick and Paul as the OF next year should be fine...and they probably will bring Stubbs back again. What other options do they have as OF help? And Stubbs is or will be 30?

Reds won't push Rolen away. Franchise respects him too much. He could very well retire, but they won't cut bait IMO

And why do they play in San Fran when the Reds have a better record? Figured a team that had more wins would be able to host the first game or 2

Honestly, I don't give a fuck about next year. This post season is the only thing I am worried about and Scotty Rolen does NOT give up the best chance to win. Not offensively, nor defensively.

It is that way this year because of the added Wild Card play in game. They didn't want to take away off days and add to the length of the playoffs.

Reds have been atrocious at the plate for a while now and Cueto has been off and on. Im not feeling good about advancing.

Yeah...I feel like every other team (minus the Rangers) has gotten better in the past few weeks...The Reds have regressed. Our offense is awful right now..

Need Stubbs back in the 2 spot. ;)

Oh, and Reds lose 6-4.

Anyone wish they went with a Cueto-Latos-Homer rotation? I'm not sure how I feel about a 4 man rotation, with Latos only getting 1 start

And Bronson...man idk

I'd love that being the rotation. Don't trust Bronson in the postseason at all. Very solid regular season starter who will have bad games but is easily the most likely to get hit hard of the 4 IMO.

Latos has great experience and success against SF and in that park. He's not going until game 3. Homer Bailey has been one of, if not the most dominating road pitcher in MLB and quite average at home. He's not going until game 4.

I think the Reds can win the series, but given that Bumgarner has been very good, I consider game 2 a loss already. That puts a lot of pressure on Cueto to beat Matt Cain and the for the Reds offense to come alive.
