I'm not one to defend cops all the time, but this was not entirely on the cop. You have a situation where you are obviously surrounded by people and there is the danger of everything escalating. Some liquid is thrown on the cops. You see a woman nearby who was a bit too close for comfort with a bottle...

You neutralize the threat.

I'm also just not one to rail on cops all the time.

It's situations like these where a crowd is starting to form and a lot of noise that are dangerous for cops. Things can escalate quickly.
I don't think punching the first person you see in the face is necessary to "neutralize the threat."

Eh... some liquid was thrown on the cops (last thing you want to allow is people to start throwing stuff at cops) you see a lady jumping around the cops then walking away sheepishly immediately after the liquid is thrown. It could be argued that he just snuffed that flame out. It's not like he just turned around and punched. The woman wasn't exactly minding her own business.

While the officer's actions were not appropriate, she deserved it. I do not feel sorry for her.

I agree that it's possible. But it's impossible to tell from the video whether is actually is or not. She is making the motions with the bottle. But as I said in my second post, it isn't necessarily her spray that got the cops attention. She was seemingly just doing little squirts.

She did not need to be punched. The cop is twice her size if he was worried about her he shouldve just grabbed her and cuffed her. Hitting her is nothing but brutality imo.

She didn't by the letter of the law, but anyone who acts like that under those circumstance certainly won't get sympathy from me when they are punched.

She was walking away. Not even that fast. A punch wasn't necessary.

What if that was bleach or acid water ...she attached a police office, he was on duty doing his job and she was fleeing from the officer. Does not matter the speed the point is she was moving away from the office after doing something she should not have done. How fast was OJ driving? Still she was fleeing from the seen. Where is the respect for the police on duty and the common sense of this individual? </SPAN>
She got what was coming next time she will think before acting like a fool.

Pay off she should have to pay for the offiers cleaning bill </SPAN>

It's not like he instantly turned around and punched here. He had to walk a few feet. I'm sure he would have known by then if someone had just doused him with acid or bleach.

In what world do you live in do people people walk around with bleach or "acid water" in a bottled water container hoping some shit will go down to use that day?

Sorry but you have no idea how long this situation had taken place nor do you know why. This could have been a planned march protest Timken Bearing and Steel for not hiring Latinos but this is the same world that people steal stop sign, cut people fur coats, throw paint on people wearing leather, steal mustangs for parts, piss in bottles to throw at cops, set off fire cracker a military funerals, where the hell do those rioting get hammers and let no forget those criminal that carry guns. </SPAN>

Watch the video she was showing off and taunting the police, she was looking for approval from some one why would someone do that?</SPAN>

Wake up Z4P the real world is not that nice when it come between Them and You </SPAN>
