Buike is not a troll, he's actually a good poster. Keep it up, then our site will be full of actual trolls, and zero good posters. It's already happening on Browns threads.vball10set;1283658 wrote:lol... he's a big boy, I think he'll be ok

I do agree that Azubuike is a good poster. And you have to respect him for being a Kentucky fan in both sports... unlike some people who pick and choose

ok, so wait-- is OSU/Nebraska a "big game" or not? This still hasn't been answered. Hoping to watch it, but if it's not gonna be a big game, then maybe I shouldn't

Here's why it's a big game:ricola;1285048 wrote:ok, so wait-- is OSU/Nebraska a "big game" or not? This still hasn't been answered. Hoping to watch it, but if it's not gonna be a big game, then maybe I shouldn't
1. Nebraska is still in the hunt for a B1G championship and a shot at a BCS bowl. Beating Urban Meyer & Co. in the Shoe on prime time national television would be a big step for the Huskers in that direction.
2. Since Ohio State cannot play for a B1G championship nor play in a bowl game, any regular season game against marquee programs this season is huge particularly if Urban hopes to keep attracting talent to the Shoe.
So - yeah - this is a big game.

Thanks for explaining. I was planning on not watching it because it was no longer a big game and OSU is irrelevant.believer;1285071 wrote:Here's why it's a big game:

Oklahoma (2-1) at Texas Tech (4-0)
Iowa State (3-1) at TCU (4-0)
Miami (4-1) at Notre Dame (4-0)
Washington (3-1) at Oregon (5-0)
All in the same class in-terms of "relevancy" as Ohio State/Nebraska. Just saying.

Its a big game because it is a primetime national network broadcast.

Are we really arguing over whether something is a B1G game or not? It absolutely is.

I agree those are all big games. Maybe it would help if we agreed there are different degrees of big games. (I might argue OSU/Nebraska is better than all but Miami/Notre Dame because both schools have more tradition. But that doesn't mean the other games won't be better.)Azubuike24;1285115 wrote:Oklahoma (2-1) at Texas Tech (4-0)

Tradition is worthless. Tradition doesn't win games, something those in South Bend still don't understand.

ABC's nationally televised Saturday Night Game is Nebraska/OSU. Must be important to someone other than this website's viewersAzubuike24;1282618 wrote:The title was "big games" for October 6th.
I define a big game as one that has relevance outside of this website.
So I guess it depends how long you want the list to be. In-terms of games on this day, OSU/NEB does not belong on the list. That was my point. My allegiance to Kentucky, I'm not sure what it has to do with this thread? I was commenting on the big games in this weekend. The ones I listed were "my big games."
The Kentucky game that day doesn't make my list as they will get crushed and nobody outside of Starkville, MS or maybe some parts of SEC fans would consider it a big game.

You're wrong on the first 3. I have USCe, Neb, Fla, WVU, and no one cares because ISU/TCU is not a big game.cats gone wild;1282611 wrote:I will take UGA, OSU, LSU, WVU and TCU in the games mentioned.
