Love what Woodson and the Knicks are doing. Whatever he preached since he took over as head coach is working. I for one hope they keep it up all year. Fun team to watch right now.

The Lakers transistion D and pick and roll D is awful, seen better at the rec center. Lakers need an athlete on the wing big time, bet they wish they still had Trevor Ariza.

I thought this was going to be an average year at best after losing Lin and signing a bunch of old guys. Turns out the Knicks are finally making the right moves. A far cry from the Isaiah Thomas/Scott Layden days. Those fucking Starbury years were miserable. Maybe they'll actually win a playoff series this postseason.

Absolutely no reason they don't get out of the first round, even if the shooting does cool off.

The Lakers are garbage. They will have a new coach by the trade deadline.

I hope you're right.

This is pathetic. And there's no fix in sight. Gasol and Nash will help the offense, but the defense will lose them a lot of games.

Melo has really bought into the system this year. He's not forcing as many shots and letting it come to him. He's actually played decent on defense this year also. A completely different player this year.

That's the problem right now. The defense is just trash. I mean you got Kobe, one of the top 10 players in NBA history, so you're going to score points. But Christ, suit me up for the Knicks and I bet I could drop 30 on the Lakers right now.

even though dantoni is known for his shit defense, you'd still figure the guys known for their defense like artest, howard, and kobe would push the agenda a bit

Individually, the Lakers' D isn't terrible(of course that means nothing), but I've seen 7th grade girls play better as a TEAM defensively. Their rotation is literally non-existent. Guy on the wing gets beat and NO ONE is there to stop the ball. And then the bigs look around at each other like it was the other guy's fault. You learn that shit when you're 10.

Backside d is part of individual defense. If you're a good defender, then you know how to move and slide into position. I think it's more age then anything. Kobe hasn't played great d, world peace hasn't been anything close to himself on d, and Howard gets exposed by any big man that can shoot it from 15 foot. They have a lot of issues.

Doesn't help that they're not athletic enough on the wing, that has been an achilles heel the last few season and hasn't been addressed.

Is this the normal Knicks lineup with Ray and J Kidd on the floor?

How much they owe Brown? What have they guaranteed D'antoni? I heard on Mike and Mike that they might owe around $75 million due to something new next year. They must have endless monies like the LA baseball teams.

New York's ball movement is outstanding, almost reminds you of a great college team. The chemistry and cohesion there is amazing. You rarely see such brazen unselfishness and movement of the basketball like this in the NBA. They remind me of Sacramento in the early 2000s. Definitely the most fun team I've watched in a long while in the pros. League Pass is worth it just for these guys.
