Yeah, it was politics. Problem with terrorism is you can't pinpoint the source to respond as Clinton might have, sending a cruise missile down Khadafi's chimney. That's why it's ultimately a non-starter. I mean, if Obama comes out Day 1 and says it's terrorism does it make any difference at all?

Romney teams needs to get back to talking about the economy. This story just isn't going to move the needle.

I agree with this. I get the feeling that folks on the right want this to be a Carter/Iran 1979 type thing and it just ain't happenin...It seems to me like folks look at it like other tragic deaths occurring in the middle east (i.e. Armed Forces getting killed by friendlies) and don't really care if they did it cus of the video or because they hate america or whatever. It's a tragic event and declaring that it was terrorism and thumping the green lantern foreign policy drums wouldn't have made it any less so.

Time to get the topic back on the horrifically weak recovery.

I think this is a story if it comes out that they had previous information and knew it was a terrorist attack from the beginning and then made a conscious decision to try to blame muslims to distract from the fact that they didn't do enough with the information they had.

How we would ever find out it was a conscious decision to distract from their incompetence I do not know.

I agree with this. If there's some kind of investigation that reveals the likes of what you're describing here...then I think we'd have something here...

Romney can do what he wants, I think he can walk and chew gum at the same time. The theme is that foreign affairs as well as the economy are not Obama's strong suit.

Cue Eric Holder. He'll get to the bottom of it . . .
