Was that the pilot's head in the top fish tank?

I'm anxious to see why he keeps those around.

I can't even come up with a good guess as to why, other than it's just to show how crazy and demented he is.

But something was going on with re-animating them with that electric current. I'm going to guess there's some preservable quality to freshly killed/severed heads, and they are researching some sort of immortality or miracle-cure drug (i.e. he has cancer or something).

Couldn't agree more. Lori was annoying and Carol was worthless.

The Lori scene was tough to watch, the first time I can recall saying that regarding this show.

Told my wife the same thing, first time I've ever felt uneasy watching this show.

A lot of characters getting killed off....definately didn't see this happening. Atleast so soon in to the season.

The Lori scene was unexpected, I thought they would've gone the zombie baby route....either way I can't imagine having to watch your mom go through that.

Still trying to figure out how Rick is going to handle this.

As long as they replace T-Dog with T-Lion, all will be well.

S3 has been amazing. I didn't see T-Dog being offed like that... I kinda expected Lori to die as soon as she went into Labor...

I wasn't sure if the baby would actually make it to the show or not...

Rick is probably about to go ape shit.

I'm interested to see what Rick does in the next episode. In the preview they showed him losing his mind in the scene where he learns of Lori's death. He grabs and ax and it cuts away.

I don't know what it was like for you guys, but Lori was so bad/annoying that, incredibly, there was now emotion/power/drama in that scene. I almost laughed at her speech and pep-talk to Carl. Or maybe it was Carl - kid is like a robot. Now when Rick went off, I thought that was pretty good.

I don't know if it was the acting and/or characters/writing, but that birth scene fell comically (almost literally) flat. It was supposed to be sad and dramatic but I actually found myself laughing at how pathetic it was - particularly Lori's little "pep talk" to Carl.

Now I thought Rick's scene when he found out was pretty good and effective. It seemed more real and natural, whereas Lori's was forced and kind of surreal.

Yep. I thought it was ok - more setting the scene than anything else, particularly lacking in big action following last week's insanity. Andrea is a GD idiot and her character pisses me off. Very very interested to see where they go with Rick and just how far off the deep end he ends up. All-in-all a solid episode that moves the season along.

Good episode.
