Because of the way I was brought up, always concerned about my money that I had earned and my grandparents not trusting banks. I use banks and saving accounts but I always keep an extra amount hidden cash at home. Why I don’t know but it makes me feel better that I have something fast if I need it. That’s not a good reason but wtf. </SPAN>

Do you hide a few bucks at home and how much? </SPAN>

Between what in a small safe and my other hiding place about $3000.00.</SPAN>

If I’m planning a family trip or something special it can get higher.

Note: without knowing it i do find a few hidden bucks in my pants pocket and that a good find. :D </SPAN>

Don't hide money at home but when I was 5, I found $500 that my parents had hidden, took it to kindergarten and made it rain. Mom got a call from the teacher. They ended up recovering all of the money.

When I go to auctions of older peoples property I will always buy books. I have found close to 1800 in the books.

I try to keep 1500-2000 at home if possible. I buy gold quite a bit since 2000 and dont keep that at home but probably should.

I save up money by getting paid under the table. I put it in a boot in my closet. One day I hope to make enough money to fly to England and tryout for a major futbol team.

Has anyone informed them that that's one of the first places thieves look when they break in a house?

Not really "hidden" cash, but I keep a spare $20 in my car. It's there for a rainy day, and has actually come in handy before. I left home one day without my wallet and would've ran out of gas if it wasn't for that 20 bucks.

I actually just started doing this. A friend was telling me he did it and how it has come in handy a few times. Like he said if someone broke in and stole the twenty you really aint out much.
