Could've ran the 2nd play backwards and get down to the 2 min warning and took the clock down to about 1:25

Didn't they change the rule to where you can now call a fair catch on even a bounced ball on an onside kick? If they would have called for a fair catch on that, then wouldn't have that meant that the kicking team would have had to leave the ball alone until the receiving team had their opportunity to make the fair catch?
