They are away from their families, often in situations where both parents have to work. Their financial resources are obviously limited. Little or nothing left for investment. Any catastrophe can put them in dire straits. Much of the rest of Mitt Romney’s 47% are elderly or handicapped.
Seems that lesson is taught ever day with shooting / stabbing crime in the poverty areas but it still happens and increasing also.
