One thing I was thinking about is the culture that is just pervasive in professional sports is continually perpetuated. The one example that comes to mind is when the players have the 1st round draft picks pick up the whole bill for the team at an extravagant restaurant (that many guys with those appetites will kill your wallet). It just seems to reinforce the idea that you have money to spend on others and no need to worry about fiscal responsibility. And then you have players broke the second their career is over or living from pay check to pay check when they need to be planning for the future and putting huge chunks of their pay checks into savings of some sort.

out of 26 million after agents and taxes i bet he saw less than 12 in cash. he is claiming 5.5 was stolen from him and i bet he has about 5 million in property. most of these guys lose their money trying to make more money and get involved with shady guys who are recommended by guys like drew rosenhous. its not just the dumb ones...curt shilling, elway, marino, christian laetner, charlie batch, kendrell bell come to mind off the top of my head as guys who have lost multi millions on bad business deals and ponzi schemes.
