This is my real prediction too. Florida State's schedule sets up very nicely. They have the defense to win even unpredictable ACC games. I still think they struggle against a team who makes them pass. Clemson next week, even at home, will be a big test.

Might. I think LSU wins at home vs Bama, and plays UGA again in SEC title game. Then play FSU in BCS title game. If FSU loses next week, I will insert Oregon. And no I dont think FSU is a top 3 team either. Their schedule sets them up well. The best two teams are LSU and Bama hands down.

I think Alabama is the best team. But they were the best team last year too, and they almost got fucked out of the title game by their kicker in a game they dominated. Luckily they got to redeem themselves in the title game. I'm not sure that would happen again this year.

Nor should it. If not for some perfect pieces falling late in the year (Oregon losing at home to USC, Oklahoma State falling to ISU, Boise dropping a home game), Bama doesn't get back in. For a team to lose that late and get in need some luck.

LSU has proven nothing yet. They aren't even in the conversation.

It's week 3. Who is in the conversation and has proven something? Interested in a legit answer...not one just to fire at CGW.

I think the best team should always play in the title game. The time of the season you lose is such bullshit to me.

Edit: entirely under this system that is. If a team loses in what they know is a playoff game, then obviously they have no argument.

And last year, not many people wanted bama in it. They wanted OK St. Bama proved to be the best team, at least on that night they did. At least LSU beat the champs on Bama's home field.:D I dont want a rematch no matter what this year, but I still think that LSU and bama are the 2 best teams. I dont think there is a close 3rd. Two different tiers.

And Mulva, the BCS was set up to put the 2 best teams in it. Last year they did, even though LSU didnt show up.( At all.)

Exactly. Alabama is the only one in the conversation at this point.

That was almost exactly my point. Alabama, without question the best team, almost got left out because of a garbage system that punishes teams based on when they lose. I'm glad they didn't. The best teams should always at least have a CHANCE to play for the title (and if they fail to get it done in what they know is a win-or-go-home playoff game, then they have nobody to blame).

Oklahoma State was the best team in the country last year. They DID get left out because of a garbage system.

I argued for the rematch last year instead of OK St, but clearly said the whole time that I would feel more comfortable playing OK St. I was more scared about playing bama again. I think the BCS got it right last year. It just stinks that LSU played incredible all year and then look like a MAC school vs a NFL team in the title game.

LSU is the only team in world history to be shut out in a BCS National Championship game. Enjoy!

You have the wrong OSU. Ohio State was the best team in the country.
