What the fuck? DISH apparently wants to pay less than market price, so they're playing hardball.

With whom do you side?

I'm sure they'll settle soon. Since all of the good B1G games get picked up by ABC/ESPN, most people around here will live with a few weeks of no Iowa, Minnesota, or Indiana games.

You may have TWC mcburg, but that means you're probably paying double just for AMC, B1G, and no NFLN

I have basic cable and stream everything else. I pay 35 a month for basic and 28 for road runner. Plus if it storms it never goes out. Ohh and I get to watch the bengals every time they are on so no problems needing NFLN.

I agree with this though. I have used dtv, dish, and twc as far as I am concerned they all suck ass.

If your monthly price goes down, I side with dish. Otherwise I think the answer is pretty simple.

Direct TV ftw

My understanding most people with Dish or time warner cable also own pit bulls and drink budweiser.

Dropping the B1G probably increases the value of DISH. The B1G sucks. :)

Dont watch the channel often at all, hell i forget it is on.

Used to never matter as we would get Indiana local channels to watch all the IU hoop games, but now tha doesnt happen so rely on b1o network for IU hoops games.

But my hometown cable carries the big ten network so I dont care if dish drops it.

Yes, the football programming is marginal at best. It's better during hoops season.

I have Dish and there are more recent issues:
1. They dropped Channel 10 (Dispatch Broadcast Group) about 3 weeks ago. Got the rabbit ears out to get it.
2. They ADDED the PAC12 Network. Funny how the PAC12 is somehow affordable and the B1G wants a king's ransom.
3. Called and complained and got the Hopper for free, got $20/mo knocked off the bill for 6 mos, and $10/mo for the lifetime we stay with Dish. Life is good

I'll have to let both my mom and a good friend know this, since they have Dish. Both are a bit pissed about the BTN going bye-bye and my mom's super-pissed about C10, as that's the one news station in Columbus she likes and she dumped off her converter box when she got Dish (lives out in the boonies w/antenna).

Buckeye Cable out of Toledo.

I get BTN, AMC, NFLN, and some movie channel that's like HBO/Showtime... but part of the basic cable package. Couldn't get anything better.

I really can't think of a negative thing about them, except maybe the phone. We went to bundle but found out that basically all of Michigan was long distance, but Lima,OH was still local. Obviously it's because it's an Ohio company, and I'm in Bedford.

I like how they take a few $$$ off of the bill whenever service in interrupted for any reason both internet and cable. Have you ever had issues?

Oh yeah, BCSN is awesome.

Few and far between, but if you do have issues and feel you should be compensated, don't be afraid to ask--they'll work with you to make sure you're satisfied....that's a benefit of them being a small, locally owned and operated entity. Also, when they're offering free "pay channels" (ie HBO, Showtime, etc.) to new customers, call then up and tell them you've been a loyal customer and would like these offfered to you as well--I haven't been denied yet. ;)

Just had Direct TV installed yesterday and loving it.

We have the hmc(whole house dvr) and 3 other hd boxes.

62.99/month for first 10 months, 72.99 until month 12, 13-24th month 92.99

Anyone thinking about getting direct tv, let me know so we both can get a $10/month credit...

Good idea! Having the B10 Network is pretty good during the fall. Even better come winter time when the B10 student announcers say, "illegal fist to the back" is the officials call.
