For the first time in over five years, I just talked to someone who was definitely tripped out on something.

They proceeded to explain to me that the mind is unique in that it is the only thing that can actually go back in time. While rewinding a tape or retracing your steps is still technically going forward, just to a place you've already been, remembering is somehow unique in that in can act as a window where one may actually go back and view events of the past.

They then asked me how deep it was, and how cool that they could come up with that.

Is that normal? That people who are on a a trip like that think they're being deep when they're actually being nonsensical?

I've decided to mess with him. He's a web coder, so I told him:

"We recall memory, much like a GET_ function can in PHP scripting. It doesn't go back in time. It saves memories like data. Our overall memory is like a directory of databases. And the individual memories are like the databases themselves. Each with its subtle nuances, which would be the rows. We can recall those rows ... those subtle nuances ... just like the GET function in a php script."

His reply: "It's beautiful."

Messing with someone who is this high is honestly pretty fun.

Also found out what he's on. Hydrocodone, Adderall, and some alcohol. Quite a cocktail, I'd say.

I know you're not allowed to discuss engaging in illegal activity.

I, however, am just describing a conversation I had with someone else who would fit that profile. :D

And from what he's saying, it seems like shrooms ... except it makes a little more sense.

Nope.

If this were a message board for law enforcement enthusiasts, I'm pretty sure drug use would come up as a topic, and I'm sure AdSense would be fine with it.

Doesn't break any rules here or there. You can post about it. They don't permit condoning it, I know, but you're allowed to discuss it.

In college one night me and a few buddies digested some fungus. We decided to walk around the neighborhood while we were feeling the effects. After walking for what seemed like forever probably only 10 minutes my friends turned around and asked me what I was doing. I looked in my hands and I had picked up about 30 suburban newspapers and was convinced I could trade them for bottled water. I digested fungus a few other times but that was my only true trippy experience.

Hey, I don't blame you for the Adderall. My contracted programmers do some of their best work on that stuff ... and they get done FAST! :D

However, when they mix it with other stuff ... they get weird. Last time, the programmer built me a page that showed a dot that rotated on an ellipse, which he told me represented relativity.
