Defense has played much better since Klein replaced Grant. Not sure if that's the reason for the improvement, but there do seem to be less guys wide open in the middle of the field...

I liked the way Grant looked in the first series, but he made a few noticeable mistakes in the second series, by blowing a coverage and missing a tackle. I think he'll end up being a solid player, but looks a little lost so far...

The D-line looks a lot better with Williams on the edge.

Refs need to stop calling so many personal fouls on little pushes...happens every play let it go

I agree.
I disagree with Spielman, if you call the shoves it should have been an offsetting penalty. Just because a Williams shove has a bigger impact than a little RB shove doesn't mean it should be penalized more...

I know everyone loves spielman, but he is a pretty shitty analyst

I hate Spielman as an analyst.

These refs are horrible. There shouldn't have been a holding on that td catch, and that personal foul was a huge stretch.

I don't think Spielman is great, but he isn't Rod Gilmore bad.

He's been terrible this game.
I used to like him when he was near the bottom of the ESPN announcing totem pole, he seemed to focus on thought-out analysis of the plays, and was very good at that, though he wasn't polished at all as an announcer. Now he seems to be a little more polished speaking wise, but adds very little analysis, just kind of says random things off the cuff...

Williams is a darn good player. Crazy he missed an entire season, came back from micro fracture and is still our best player in the front 7

Offense is still rough. Sill working through the basics. There are flashes of greatness, but overall it's average. Miller needs to see the field a lot better, and go through progressions.

The D is still bending a lot. The middle is wide open usually. Thinking in two weeks, MSU can have a field day if the secondary and LBs do not fix the holes.

WRs haven't been helping the cause by dropping some easy passes and then after calling a great first quarter, Herman called a bad, very conservative 2nd

Flag fest for the 2nd quarter (only one I watched). Cal needs to calm down, and should only be down by 6 right now since they got robbed of a td. Sounds like one of the announcers is a Cal homer, lol.

We need to run the ball with Dunn or Smith or Hall more, not just put it in the belly in the middle of the line.

actually, Roby should've had a pick 6, thus putting OSU up by 7 more....anything else?
