Brookfield scoring over 50 in every game they have played up to this point with wins over Trinity, Newton Falls and Campbell. Last night played Campbell at home and the score was 14-12 then bad coaching by the devils gets them into a 18 point hole in around 12 seconds of play. Brookfield never looked back after that point.
Struthers also 3-0 with wins over also Campbell, Lakeview and Mogodore Field, Last night on a muddy field with everything going wrong for the Cats weather, officials "worst ive ever seen in my life", and a couple fumbles "refs". But still came out with a 28-14 solid win.
Struthers will need to slow down Quinlan on the ground and Mosora on the ground for them to be able to get the W in their house, the passing game doesn't really seem to be much of a strong point but they are able to make big plays through the air at times. Brookfield who will most likely put 8-9 men in the box just like the other 3 teams struthers has faced has done to try and slow down Dave Stewart who already has over 550 yards on the season againt pretty good opponents. Kimbrough who didn't get the ball much last night has proved to make big plays especially in the Lakeview game will be a very tough cover for Brookfield if they try and cover him 1 on 1.
I will go with the Cats in a very close game at Home, Brookfield will have trouble with Struthers size and the skill of the playmakers.

The vindicator had a interview with a lineman from Brookfield and he said they are going to run the ball down the wildcats throat and that they cannot be stopped that might get Struthers a little more fired up then they already should be.

Brookfield is trash, they are a classless team starting with their head coach. I hope the Cats absolutely destroy them and run it up.

What happened near the end of the game? The paper said something about it getting really chippy? A lot o personal fouls?

this game is an easy one to me. if you look at it brookfield hasnt even played anyone yet. there biggest competition has been keeping those trouble makers Sulic and joey clarke in check. those are the two dirtiest players and trouble makers in the area. Struthers will WIN BIG this friday night. that lineman from brookfield got it wrong. struthers will run it down THEIR throat. i dont see how brookfields going to win. they are scoring on some big pass plays that is it and struthers will shut it DOWN. they cant run the ball like they used to. they dont even use mosora. i think he was a one trick pony. there line is little and slow. the right tackle needs to get his feet out of the cement blocks they are in. Struthers wins BIG in this one. mark it down!

"the right tackle needs to get his feet out of the cement blocks they are in." The same RT who talked noise in the papers, and the same RT who posted on here last year. Oh and then the same RT who tweeted about this forum! Makes a lot of sense Hiner

The 1st AP Poll of the season is out. Brookfield is at 8 in D4, Struthers at 21 in D3.
I posted that just for discussion sake as most don't put much stock in the AP Poll, many refer to it as a "Joke". Few points of reference.....Hubbard (whose 3 opponents haven't won a game yet) pulled down a vote as the #1 Team in D3, Fitch pulled down two votes as the #1 D1 team (um...St Ignatius), and JFK (whose 3 opponents have 1 win total) also pulled down a vote as #1 in D6.
