I have the Curve 8330.

ScoreMobile - allows you to look at scores from any sport without getting online. It's the best app out there.
Threaded SMS - Blackberry is annoying because they don't have threaded text messages and this app threads them and puts them into chat bubbles
Viigo - News feed that lets you add all your Google Reader feeds from all the different news sources. IMO the best news app out there
Opera Mini 5 beta - It's beta so its still really slow, but it has a tabbed browser which is really nice

Then the normal ones like Gmail, Google App, Facebook, newest Blackberry Messenger

If the 8330 gets the 5.0 OS then you'll have threaded SMS. And I think opera mini 5 beta 2 is great and fast.

I don't know if the 8330 will get the 5.0. My phone just updated to 4.5 last night so it is unlikely.

I'll have to get the new Opera then. I downloaded the original beta and it was slow so I don't use it a lot. I love the tabbed browser windows though.

Yeah it's probably a bit old for 5.0

I know opera is really nice for storm, but after that no idea.

Ok, so now fill us in how you backed it up and wiped it. I'd like to do that to mine.

You should have desktop manager on your computer. If you don't just look for it on www.blackberry.com and get it. Connect your phone to the computer and then use the back-up feature on DM to back it up. I only back up emails, contacts, etc. The basic shit.

Once you do that, go to options>security>security wipe. I wipe emails, contacts, etc, and user installed applications. Let it do it's thing. Connect back to my computer, restore it from the file I saved. Then I add the applications/themes I want back on.
I write down a list of the shit I have installed just so I don't forget.

I have a Pearl, so memory is an issue.

I use SocialScope for Facebook and Twitter, the Google catchall, Opera 4.2, an auto lock and quick pull.

I noticed a kid who looked like he was 12 last night with a blackberry. I wanted to run him over with my car.

I have the Storm 1 for now

Facebook, Pandora, TFLN, weatherbug, google maps, greenfinder golf GPS.

Also, I am getting either the Tour or Storm 2 on Wednesday, any suggestions would be welcome.

Yeah, unless you're planning on doing some international travel soon, go with the Storm 2.

I went with the tour because I like having a trackball. I personally haven't had any problems but have heard horror stories...
