Yes, because you are using Google Maps on an Android phone. Apple got rid of Google Maps support on the new iPhone. Instead, their Maps application is being supported by TomTom. People are saying that landmarks and streets and even whole cities aren't appearing on Apple's new program. Basically, they took a step backwards with their Maps program on the new phone. And they are getting slammed because a company that is known for their innovation should not be taking a step backwards...ever.

I like this maps better for the simple reason that I do have free turn by turn. Under the google maps based system on the old iphone you had to no navigation other than examining the map as you progressed.

I would guess both of their faults.
