So do I. For me, the main thing is probably lunch meat. Not so much the Kroger-brand deli sliced, but about everything else. I once got a big pack of the Value brand there (the plain white packaging one). The next day, I opened it up and that stuff was slimy and disgusting. Never again.
For cheese, I'm cool with Kroger brand deli-sliced, but if you go into the 12/16/24 pack slices of processed, it is flavorless (except for pepper jack).
I'd agree with TP. I don't know what kind of generic stuff we have at the office, but it makes me glad I live about a 2-min drive from work, so if I have to go, it's just a quick jaunt home. That stuff is single-ply, but seems more like 1/2 ply.
Most things, though, I don't get bothered by generics. Hell, when you consider the gap in pricing in some cases (head and shoulders vs. kroger-brand substitute shampoo for example), I prefer the generic because it's 1/3 the price.
