Campbell travels to Brookfield in a big game for both. Both teams have talent at the skill positions. Campbell may be a little bigger up front, although they lack a quick slashing type tailback that the Red Devils are known for, at least up to this point of the season. Brookfield has the Quinlan boys, Mosora, Harkulich and Clark to match up with the Devils. Your thoughts on this game?

Brookfield rolling offensively and defensively, its Harkulich and Mosora. I think Brookfield might roll pretty big in this game coming from what ive seen from both teams thus far, Healthy Mosora and Quinlan seems bad news for the devils imo.

Brookfield has played Trinity and Newton Falls. Campbell has played Struthers and South Range. That being said, and not that it really matters, but Campbell has played the better quality opponents. If Reyes and his receivers find a rhythm vs. Brookfield, this game will be interesting.Ohio;1261284 wrote:Brookfield rolling offensively and defensively, its Harkulich and Mosora. That is true, even tho south range isn't close to what they used to be, will be interesting what clark throws at the red devils this season last season they loaded the box and shut down the run game, but played man on the outside with no help over top and it worked, who knows what campbell team you will see. Trinity and Falls arn't great opponents but when you socre 50 a game that really says something about their offense. Bottom line imo if campbell doesnt make brookfield turn the ball over and hold onto it their self i dont see them having much of a shot, by seeing campbell play this team is not as talented as last seasons you can argue that but jales beat teams himself last season ans its showing.

Not much faith in the Devils this week.
However, if they play with intensity, I think they can win this one.
Good luck Campbell.

I heard on a local sports report last night that this game may not be played on Friday night at Brookfield because of a power failure. Supposedly the officials from Brookfield are going to discuss the power problem with OE and should have an answer by Thursday.

That would be nice and logical. If that were to happen I am sure an agreement would be made where Campbell would play at Brookfield next season if the two schools are playing in 2013. But I wouldn't count on it. I think there is a better chance of this game being played in the Circle-K parking lot than at Knapick Field!!! My feeling is if there isn't an alternate site found that suits Brookfield the game will be played on Saturday afternoon with the officials keeping the time on the field. And from what I have been hearing, it could rain cats and dogs on Saturday. Let's hope the problem can be fixed at Brookfield before Friday evening.scoreboard;1261801 wrote:Then play at Campbell!!!

Generator went out from what I was told, that cost a big chunk of change, sources told me they were debating on not having Friday night games because of the bad lights before the season even started. I would see them playing Saturday night possibly at girard or a school like that. Niles and Hubbard did that last season when Hubbard field was to bad

If indeed the game is going to be played at Brookfield, what is the parking going to be like? I was told that the old school building next to the stadium was/is being demolished. I believe I parked in the area of that building last season.Ohio;1261911 wrote:Discard my last post, it was a transformer and from what I just been told the game should be still on Friday in Brookfield

The parking lot is clear of all demolition crews with the school.

Park at the same place as last season, when it used to get really packed people would park in a big field across the street and on the side streets behind the stadium

Channel 21 reported last night that a decision on where the game is going to be played would be made on Thursday morning. It's either at Brookfield or at Campbell according to channel 21.scoreboard;1262940 wrote:So its a go for Friday at Brookfield? Or is it still to be determined

If Campbell comes out fired up with a big chip on their shoulders, they have a chance.

The game is definitely at Brookfield, Friday at 7 PM. BTrev, I can understand you having confidence in your Warriors. But some of you sound as if Campbell is coming to Brookfield as as a five touchdown underdog. Campbell has a chance against any opponent they play. If the Red Devils get their passing game going they will be difficult to defend, not only for Brookfield, but for any opponent on their schedule. Brookfield will be the favorite. They have the hot hand. They are playing at home, which is a very difficult place for an opponent to play. This is a huge game for both. For Campbell it will give them momentum and confidence going into the AAC schedule. If the Red Devils do not come out with some fire vs. Brookfield it could be a long night for them. If they come to play with a purpose and some intensity, I expect a good game that could go either way.

No way a 5 touchdown lead but they return everything and IMO Campbell until they show it arnt even close to what type of team they were last season.

Brookfield does not return everything. They lost most of their linemen from last season. They do return Hiner on the line and most if not all of their skill players. You are right. Campbell is not close to the type of team they were last season. And that's a good thing. Unless you are from Campbell you will not understand what I am saying. I am looking forward to a good game in a great small school atmosphere.Ohio;1263338 wrote:No way a 5 touchdown lead but they return everything and IMO Campbell until they show it arnt even close to what type of team they were last season.

No, they don't return everything. But with 3/5 linemen returning its okay. only 2 of them started but 1 got significant time.BigDean1;1263350 wrote:Brookfield does not return everything. Brookfield does return two of the most dangerous playmakers in the valley in Quinlan and Mosora. The warriors also have a lot of confidence going into this one, as they should.. especially after their upset of the Red Devils last season..
Talent wise CMHS is not better than last season. With everything else, they are. We know the kids were "undesirable" and their attitudes showed it. CMHS looks too out of shape and that intensity just wasn't there week 1 vs the cats.. Do you honestly believe it'll be there for Brookfield? Will be a very chippy game, expect a lot of personal fouls.. thats just brookfield ball. Brookfield wins this game.. but by how much? I'm saying 14.

Campbell gives Brookfield all they want in the first half then conditioning takes over and Brookfield walks away with it. 3 starting lineman back, one played a couple series last season then usually got pulled so basically 4 starting ol, all of their playmakers are back, 18 returning starters! Hughes was top 5 back in the area last season and the devils haven't showed offense code tonwhatbthey did last season! Not trying to spoil the pot but they are huge under dogs tomorrow night not to mention if Quinlan didn't go out last season it would have been a blowout. They have a chance but in my eyes 20 percent tops
