I don't know but that was strike 3 and not ball 4.

Same ole story, Latos loses his cool when he gets squeezed - no where close on a 4 pitch walk with one out and the bases loaded.

So if they could use instant replay, what would have been the outcome once they ruled it was a trap? When Stubbs fired the ball to 2nd, they should have stepped on 2nd and tagged both the runner coming to 2nd from first, and the runner coming back to 2nd from starting to 3rd, and it would have been a double play either way. But they were worried about the runner scoring from 3rd, so they whipped it home before any tagging of the runners.

Hannigan ended up touching home (just in case), so they would have got the force at home anyway.

No, not after the force was taken off by stepping on 2nd.

Umps rob the Phils of another out as they should have called Hanigan out to because Latos interfered with Kratz throwing to 2nd to force Hanigan, and then there would have been a double play as the relay would have beaten Latos by a mile to first.

Stubbs K's again with a runner in scoring position. Watched 2 pitches right down the middle, then swung and missed on a 3rd pitch right down the middle!

The 3rd change-up was one too many to Bruce - he looked better on each succeeding one!

Latos thru 7 on 100 pitches and a 2-1 lead. Will Dusty let him start the 8th? I say only if both Rolen and Hanigan make outs in the bottom of the 7th.

Nice Drew! Stubbs fights back from a 3-0 count to strike out on the next 3 pitches!!

Perfect location on the 3-2 fastball up and in to Stubbs to K him, again! I don't think the Reds can win this one with just 2 runs.

If they can get through the 8th without giving anything up, I have full confidence that Chapman can come in and shut it down in the 9th.

Two runs may be enough...

The bullpen is two thirds of the way. I would have given the Phils a twice as good of a chance to score in the 8th than the 9th.

I'm glad he didn't throw a 2nd slider to Howard after he fouled the first one.
