My Wife Shares too Much Information...

So, I'm wondering if I have a legitimate gripe, or if I'm overreacting...

My wife has a habit of sharing personal information about our "personal" life to her mother. They're really close and share a lot back and forth about stuff like this, but it really pisses me off.

A few examples:

One night, we got a little freaky. Well, she got a bondage gag gift for her Wedding Shower from her sister(the sister had no previous knowledge of the freaky night). Her mom proceeds to yell out (in front of female family members (mom, grandma...) "Too bad you didn't have that the other night!" and then has a side bar conversation with someone about it.

My wife discussed how strong of a muscle my tongue was. The next time I see my mother-in-law, she says "So Kahuna, I hear you're pretty good with your tongue."

I had an allergic reaction to some lubrication, it felt like I dipped my boy into a tub of icy hot. She wanted to tell her mom, but I went off on her about it, and she didn't see what the big deal was.

Whether it's good or bad/embarrassing, I get embarrassed by having that personal stuff revealed to my mother-in-law of all people. I know men and women alike talk to their friends about the bedroom sometimes, but do I have a legit gripe about this or am I overreacting?

What say you?

No, the conversations go both ways, and I think her mom would be in the 20s on the numbers thread based off what I've heard (her parents got divorced about 6-7 years ago). So, she went from 2 to 20s in that amount of time. NO THANKS

I share basically everything with my family and friends so that kind of thing wouldn't bother me. BUT...if the person I was with had a huge issue with it then I would probably make some changes.

The difference is nobody on here knows who I am and can't come up to me in a face-to-face conversation/ family function and talk to me about anything that I've posted on here.

No, I put Kahuna in place of my real name.

I'm with you, BigK. My wife shares too much shit with people. Not really that kind of stuff but she constantly is telling people my/our personal business.

It's gotta stay between the sheets and behind the bedroom door. Some banter between friends is acceptable but not family.
I wouldn't imagine me telling her dad, "your daughter gives great head" would go good with potato salad.

You aren't overreacting. I know everything about all of my wife's friends sex lives. I don't want to know it but it is shared. My friends know nothing about ours.

You're a guy, you have to deal with it.

Share some of her "personal stuff" with your family or friends and have them bring it up at a gathering... What goes around comes around:thumbup:.

Sounds like your mom-in-law is the one with the big mouth, though I agree that your wife is sharing things that are more or less nobody else's business but your own.
