The one sponsor does not cover hosting costs (~$70). Also, AdSense pays me enough to make a pretty good profit every month. Until we can get enough sponsors to do that I'm going to keep AdSense around.Pick6;1258888 wrote:You dont say? Plz tell me more.
Got you. I just thought I remember you saying (probably mistaken) something like the site costs ~$60 a month to keep it up. And with your sponsorship prices you posted, I figured even 1 sponsor would be plenty to run the site on.
I think it would be best for the site to get rid of adsense once/if you get more sponsors. All of this censorship that has shown to come along with it turns off members that were attracted to the site in the first place, IMO.

Here is my plans for the next few days. Basically, I'm going to hide the serious business forum from everyone, bots included and create a new one. Then I'll start moving content from the hidden SB into the new SB as I check it to make sure it doesn't have any content that is going to flag us. Same thing goes for the basement. This should be the quickest, easiest way to get adsense back.

Already did. We'll, I created a backup and moved every thread to it and started moving "clean" threads back. You'll notice a lot fewer posts in the forum stats. Used to be over 500k posts in here.
