Sept. 16 X-Fest 2012 was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The line up was supposed to have Seether, Sick Puppies, 10 Years, Dropkick Murphys, Filter, Pop Evil, Falling in Reverse, Kyng, Young Guns and Dangerkids.

Years of rising ticket sales caused this.

So...ticket sales rise and you cancel an event? Makes sense. Must be all the gypsies, tramps, and thieves.

Maybe the low sales were due to the washed up lineup?

Nickelback that is funny but I do have a question about them, if everyone hates them and jokes on them why the hell are they so popular? They are on the radio all the time, believe thier records sell well, play many live events, etc......I'm not a huge fan or anything but I just don't get all the hate for them and they are so popular?? I think that people secretly love them, like Michael McDonald!

Because theirs only like three businesses who own practically every radio station across the nation. The decision makers say Nickelback worth playing.

Rock n Roll pretty much died after this-

But people still buy their music and pay to see them live so that is only half the story. I just don't get it I guess.

Because while there are a ton of people that hate them because their music is complete shit, there are still a ton of people that like them because they like shitty music.

Exactly. Similar story to people liking Budweiser too.

It's also about exposure. People will like what they are exposed to more frequently.

The same is true with everything in life, now that were live in the age of corporatism. People still LOVE Coca-Cola even now that it's fake in the US.

The moral of the story is that people are dumb as shit. Whether they give head or not.

They rotate the bands too much. It's about time it catches up with them. And anyone who listens to Dayton radio will tell you 103.9 has turned to complete shit, also.

This would have been:
Seether - 6th appearance in 11 years.
Sick Puppies - 4th appearance in 6 years.
10 Years - 2nd appearance in 5 years
Shinedown (who isn't there this year) has been there four times between 2003 and 2010.

...And the rest of those bands I wouldn't pay $5 to go see.

It's made with HFCS instead of sugar.
