Didn't see a thread (not exactly surprised).

3-0 shut out loss last night.

Tribe now 18 games below .500.

I saw this in the box score and it is mind numbing.

Our 6,7,8,9 hitters have batting averages of .202,.187,.136,.230.

That is just disgusting.

From the Sportscenter lowlight it appeared like there was about 6 people there tonight. Some of these crowds could approach the old Municipal days I predict because of the putridity of this team.

I don't know how the Dolan's leave the house everyday. The shame would be too much for me.

We are a Michael Brantley 3 run homer right now away from a 13 game losing streak right now, that is how bad it is.

Not to call you out...but you just noticed that? I've been barking about it since June. We have 5 to 6 'deadspots' in our order every nite...guys hiting .240 or less...hitters who don't even average one hit a game. How do you sustain rallies? Moreover, the front office knew this, because a lot of these guys are career sub .250 hitters.
Sure the pitching is not good (save for the back end of the pen).....but the pitching the past 4 games has surrendered 3,1,4,3 runs and only have 1 victory. Those are ALL winnable games if you have any kind of offense.

It seems if we don't hit a HR we don't score...and this is not a HR hitting team.

Oh I knew it was bad, I have been in that boat with you that the offense is anemic, and it was a fire-able offense to go into this season having done nothing to address it.

For some reason though seeing that in the box score this morning the number of guys hitting below .220 just really jumped out at me, it is just unreal.

Just a bit of a slump. Our guys are battlers---they'll battle through this. It's one of those things right now where whatever can go wrong will go wrong. We can't seem to catch a break. Also, injuries really have hurt us recently. Our guys are professionals--they'll get it figured out. We're just a couple key players from really being a contender. Our front office guys know what they're doing. i know the record doesn't show it right now, but they'll do everything they can to get this team to where it needs to be. Their committed to get this turned around. we have the right people in the right places, and I have the utmost confidence next year we'll be competing at a much higher level. Just stay with us---your patience and support will be rewarded!

5-0 Oakland.

Indians' offense is focused tonight. 2nd and 3rd with nobody out in the 4th inning but they buckled down and managed to work out of the jam and avoid scoring.

Kipnis's confidence is shot right now.

Down 5-0 in the 7th and he was up there trying to bunt.

Man has he put on the power fade the second half of this season. .255/12HR/56RBI. For one of our best offensive weapons, and awfully meager stat line.

How big a rod do you think Dolan popped when he saw the news about ESPN doubling the rights fees they will pay to MLB to $5.6 Billion over the next 8 years.

That will be an extra healthy cut over and above what he was already getting.

I did find interesting, Greg Brinda said today on KNR (when discussing the Dolan's miserly ways) that he has heard they get somewhere in the $30 millions yearly rights fees from STO. That is the first time I have ever heard any sort of dollar figure attached to that.

We know they are getting revenue sharing dollars, although no one knows exactly what the figure is for any team, just that we are a recipient.

When you start to add it all up there is little reason for the Dolan's to sell or even imporve the team for that matter. They are sitting on a cash cow, even with meager attendance.

If they can withstand being pariah's in this town as well as knowing their customers detesting them, then they will continue to own the team and keep cashing those checks.

Christmas definitely came early today for the Dolan's though.

I agree with ricola here. Very well thought out and on point. I would also like to see the players receive a trophy at the end of the season for participating this year.

Not a whole lot different than our All Star shortstop of last year, who tumbled over the finish line with a 269 batting average...and he is doing a great job of repeating his performance this year as well.

The season lasts 162 games....while Kipnis had a great 1st half, he needs to carry it thru the whole season. That said, Kipnis is not the problem here.
