Drew Stubbs 8
Wilson Valdez 6
Brandon Phillips 4
Ryan Ludwick 7
Jay Bruce 9
Todd Frazier 3
Scott Rolen 5
Ryan Hanigan 2
Bronson Arroyo RHP

D'Backs have played good fundamental baseball in recent series vs the Reds. Hopefully, the Reds take some pointers from the Cards how to hit with two strikes and two outs, play tight defnese, and get on a roll of playing very well. I have been amazed how many games they have won recently even though they have been squandering a lot with hitting, defense, and baserunning.

Cards and Pirates are having a very good battle with Lohse vs. Burnette, thru 4 with Pirates taking a 2-0 lead in the 4th, getting to Lohse for 4 hits and 31 pitches. Weather may end up causing a delay.

West coast games bore me. I probably won't make it through 3 innings

Cards come back with 2 in the top of the 5th, and the inning ends with Lohse getting cut down at home trying to score on a double off the wall on a beautiful relay play. Hopefully Lohse will be a little gassed and give up a few in the bottom of the 5th.

Frazier stays hot preparing himself for a partial reserve role.

Lead-off double bugaboo strikes again! To compete in post season, Reds need to do better on things just such as those. They probably rank very high in MLB in number of doubles, and very low in scoring after starting the inning with one.

Great play to get the important lead-off batter for Broxton in the 8th.

That was a large win. Now if only STL and PIT would alternate w's and l's

The best case would've been Pit sweeping StL. Hopefully Pitt takes the last two but I am expecting the Cards to sweep them, unfortunately.

I'd rather Pitt just win them all and hopefully were able to put them away during the 6 games we have w them next month.

Is anyone else seriously worried about our chances in the playoffs with how bad cozart and Stubbs are in the 1 and 2 hole? I feel bad for Votto. His doubles are gonna be for nothing.
