Pit,
The RTR logo that is put on shirts etc...is comprised of a big T with mirrored R's on both sides...the first R is actually backwards in the logo. Doing it that way made it look better/symetrical instead of RRT....the emphasis is on the T for Tradition. Hope that helps....if anyone has a picture of the logo please post, I couldn't find one.
Finally the day has come!!!
I just can't believe we are playing on turf tonight at Red Rider Stadium!!!! A big thanks goes out to all the donors and committee that pulled this project together!!
GO RIDERS!!!

It's going to be very hot again tonight....I hope the boys have put a lot of fluids in their body so we don't see the cramping problem again tonight.

But people still say "RTR". That's what got me confused. Looking at the logo, I get the placement of the letters. But since people still say "RTR" and type "RTR", I didn't understand it. If people just say that because of the logo, then that makes sense.

Congrats on the win titans....you clearly looked like the team that would not be denied a victory and spoiled our first game on turf.
Hopefully this was a wake up call and we get these issues fixed.

Great win Triway. You outcoached us, out conditioned us, and flat out outplayed us and you ARE the better team. Good luck rest of the way!

Thank you for the kind comments. I am so proud of our kids for how hard they played. They played just as hard last week, too, but they were able to pull out the victory this time around. Their motto this season is "All Out. All Game. All Season." They have definitely exerted great effort.Red Rider Nation;1259119 wrote:Great win Triway. Red Rider Nation, I also thought that we out-coached the Riders tonight. Orrville finished with more yards, but Triway was focused on not giving up the big play (gave up a few, but really made Orrville work for every other yard they got).
This is a huge confidence booster for us. We played well enough to win last week. Playing that well and coming out on the short end again would have been heartbreaking. I think this could be the start of something good for this team. Just can't express how proud I am of them. Every time they faced adversity tonight, be it a 3-and-out or a turnover, they buckled down and came right back and made the necessary plays.
Good luck to Orrville the rest of the way. We'll definitely be rooting for you. Playoffs may be a real possibility for us, as long as we keep playing with this kind of intensity and effort. But it is a long season. This is only 1 win, but a big one. Go Titans!

You've goota give a lot of credit to Triways coaches....one year ago this coming week, I watched most of these same kids get blown out by a not very good Waynedale team. That night I remember thinking WOW! now thats a crappy football team! Now they're beating Orrville and ruining what was suppose to be their special night.

read some pretty funny posts after this one. Triway won no matter how many passes were dropped and all the bad calls and coaching blunders, get over it.
Orrville just can't lose a game without multiple excuses.

Hahahaha!Old Rider;1255634 wrote:What makes you think we won't run it at your defense that just got gashed for 450?? If there is a weakness in your defense and you can't stop the run, why wouldn't we attack that?? I know Davault is not above running the ball every play if you can't stop it!
Believe me: I was wondering the same thing as every other Orrville fan last night in regards to play calling. And not just because you were having success running, but especially since your passing game was sooo baaaad.

Amazing game by the Titans, glad to see we didn't lose another hearbreaker. Triway is exceeding my expectations so far, and it's always big to win against Orrville because they bring out a good squad every year. I knew we had a chance in this game, but we don't have to talk big before the game, it avoids putting our feet in our mouths

I actually feel bad for the boys. Not the fans, mind you, but the players. That loss will be a heavy burden to carry for a while.
