South Range Invades John Knapick Field Friday coming of a tough Loss to Warren JFK 34-25. Campbell Coming off a defeat at the hands of there arch Rivals Struthers Wildcats 20-27!

Campbell didn't seem to yet find there identity weather it be run pass stacked I spread. Players playing both sides of the ball 97% of the game with little rest. Campbell scored quick but could not find a way to score for another 2 and a half qts. Wile the wild cats took control and didn't look back. Campbell made a game of it late in the 4th but a controversial call stopped any hopes of pulling off a upset. I believe Campbell started to find there identity after half time but was plagued with a very worn out line. Campbell Needs to win this game to gain momentum and confidence.

South range played a good JFK team and hung tough. This will be Campbell Home opener of the 2012 campaign. Lets hear what you got to say from the fans of South Range and Campbell.

Didn't mean to her ur bubble maybe unthought unseen something not on the film, but the devils should rebound with a big win, range will try and slow the game down with their running game and might get a quick score or 2 but Campbell gets more big plays and wins by 10 at least, if they don't win this one idk what to say

i dont know much about range...i know jfk is decent but they lost to them and gave up alotta points. they will be disciplined and well coached, but i think campbell will be a lil more physical and athletic. if zetts digs out more than 4 plays from the playbook i think campbell wins. need to start utilizing shorter, mo. hughes and hamilton. ive said it before we need to run a lil wildcat with hughes in the backfield. its a must win for the devils. still have a great chance to have a great season. struthers was best team we will see, hats off to their staff did a great job, bright future. the devils need to regroup and realize that they could still win 8 games on this schedule. it wont be easy but its not impossible

the playcalling was absolutely terrible in that game, but its over, on to south range. they need to get some speed into the backfield at tailback, i.e., brandon jackson, or the younger hughes. smith and brown are hard nosed runners, but they lack that explosive burst, plus they cant continue to play every down on offense and defense (they will be worn out by midseason if that continues). i expect them to have success running the ball this week, but if they go to the spread (like they should have done against the cats), south range wont have the athletes to cover all our receivers. i want to see more players involved this week.

anyone going to the gridiron meeting tonight?

Have to win by a good margin to convince me that they can make it a game against brookfield, QB is back who got hurt the campbell game after the first TD last season, and 18 starters that return.

Get a shot at Lakeview this week, decent rb, stopping Henderson is the key to Beating Lakeview, hope the cats can get it done

I really thought South Range outplayed JFK the first half, and if it wasn't for some bad tackling, a few key injuries, and some assignment misques, they could have beat JFK. Unfortunately when dealing with a team that has speed like the Eagles if you get yourself out of position, or have a key breakdown in coverage, they will make you pay. And the Eagles did just that with several big plays in the second half.

As far as this game this week, I think the Raiders will really work on being a better fundamentally sound unit against the Devils, but I think your speed will probably be a bit too much for us again this week. Hopefully we can keep it a close contest, and at least give ourselves a shot at a win.

Little scouting report on the Raiders:
#10 Ross Stoffer QB/DB - left handed qb, more of a passer than runner
#46 Joey Phillips FB/DE - got hurt last week, but is solid, not very quick though
#34 David McCabe FB/DE - real solid player, decent speed, and really harrassed JFK qb last week
#32 Robert Seman SE/LB - top receiver and solid LB
#20 Jake Arsuffi HB/DB - probably the fastest player on the team, good receiver and best db

Good luck to both teams:thumbup: Hopefully it will be a fun, safe, and enjoyable game.

Tough for range to have to play a JFK team that they couldn't keep up with to a Campbell team who has double the speed JFK has. I think zetts will get away with the stack I sweep this week

What is going on with the devils. Is it coaching? I missed the damn game as i was going down to watch it i got a damn flat. Went to change it and the donut was flat. My luck blows. But my brother said Campbell looks so damn out of sink. and even though it was a win it was horrid.

Expect a VERY chippy game next week vs the Warriors in good old John Nichols Stadium. Simliar to last year's match up. Bfield was leading falls 17-6 tonight in the 1st when a power outage stopped play. This gives sikora a better look at the warriors as they prepare for next week. Should be a tough game, but Bfield is one of the best in Trumbull county. No doubt in my mind if CMHS doesn't get it together, and fast.. they will be in for a VERY long night.

Campbell did what it was supposed to do against this team. The only knock against this staff I have is that this team should be in better shape. These kids lack intensity. I believe it is just the personality of this team. There is no true leader, #4 shows flashes of it so does #15. But not consistent enough.

Reyes and the wide outs look scary to me. If I was a defensive coordinator I would be worried all week because if we get into a rhythm we can be hard to defend. That is a tribute to coach Zetts. I do not like running that Qb Iso play. If you are gonna run your Qb run the option, which we haven't seen at all. The defense is ok. I like our ILBs but we got gashed way too much last night.

Big game next week.

weak performance but reality is this. labrae looks down. girard is down. lakeview and campbell will prob be a good game if campbell gets their heads on straight. campbell still has a chance to win conference and reach playoffs. goals are still there but they need to wake up. my question is this? where is the campbell team i saw at the niles scrimmage?

Don't sleep on Jefferson, either. They'll definitely give Campbell a game.
