I've visited Miami a few times and always had a blast. Just gotta avoid the collar popping douchers and you'll be fine.

Also had lots of nice tail from what I can remember.

It is ranked higher than OSU for public universities, it is the #2 undergrad in the nation, and since you only care about business, their business school is ranked higher than OSU. Nice fail though, can't wait to see how you try to spin the facts.

Enjoy mediocrity!

Spare me the rankings argument. I'd be embarrassed if my school had any association with any "Ivy" league school. Harvard is just a good ole boys club for stuck up elitist rich people. On second thought, that correlation is fitting given that Miami is for stuck up elitist middle class folks who already have a large inheritance penciled in for their spoiled little brat.

Also, business degrees are becoming increasingly worthless. If I could do it all again, I'd get something in engineering or mathematics. If mediocrity is graduating from The Ohio State University, then I will choose mediocrity all day every day. However, the true fitting of mediocrity is anything but The Ohio State University, but your definition will work if necessary.

Sounds like the culture at McDonalds. Nice cliche though.

I banged a Miami sorority girl once. Not bad, even by my standards.

Based on this post it sounds like you are bitter because you didn't get into Miami and you are currently unemployed. It's ok little guy you can go ahead and create 6 more usernames to take up the time.

Miami is in no way a better school than Ohio State.

I've visited miami a lot (my ex went there) and there are plenty of fun parties and hot girls, but it wasn't even close to as fun as OU

I didn't even apply to Miami because I wouldn't go there for any reason. Pretty campus, shitty school.

And I have a great job, well at least the pay is fantastic. I haven't the foggiest on how I lucked out with a crappy business degree, but alas can't complain. My company doesn't even bother looking for business majors anymore, it's engineers for pretty much any task(besides HR, where we just hire hot chicks).

Pretty sad the only thing OU has to hang its hat on is being ranked in the top 10 party schools in the country. Here's a hint: Every school(with minor exceptions) is a party school. Congratulations, you are the best of the mediocre in a useless and purely subjective statistic. I'm sure all those OU grads who can't find jobs with a salary are placing "#1 party school in the nation" on their resume.

It's arguably the 2nd best journalism school in the midwest, which is similar to being the 2nd best hockey player in Argentina.

LOL...I knew someone would bring up the journalism school at OU. Not hating, I just find it funny. That topic always comes up when someone talks down about OU.

Besides I'm Ohio alum who also lived in Happy Valley for 10 years and I can tell you that Penn State is far more rowdy the Ohio University. With the exceptions of Spring Fest and Halloween I really never understood where Ohio got its "party school" reputation.

agreed happy valley is way more fun than Ohio, if it's not palmerfest or Halloween. They get pretty crazy up at state college.

Your ignorance and penchant for telling non-truths have never been more evident than in this post. First off, you didn't apply because you knew you couldn't get in. Second, it's an excellent school, and this can be verified by numerous respected publications.

sleeper, you seem to be a somewhat intelligent guy, but you've got some insecurity issues...you may want to read what you typed before hitting the "post" button....just sayin'

Journalism is for the birds. Name the last journalism major to do anything relevant in life.

Which leads to the question of which is better:

1. "Only" being able to hang your hat on being a great party school

OR

2. ONLY being able to hang your hat on being an overly annoying thread-shitter/whiner

I was a journalism major in undergrad and now I'm a shitty mod on a shitty website. Relevancy level = so.

It's not an excellent school. Period. There's no insecurity issues; I just don't buy that "rankings" shit or the hand holding "Every school is a good school" argument. Of course, in the real world, if a Miami grad comes up to me for an interview and talks about his education at that school I will say, "Oh yes, Miami is one of the top schools in the country and this is evidence by their typical strong work ethic and intellect". Once the person walks out of the room thinking he just "wowed" me, my co-workers and I will dump his resume into the trash. No one cares about Miami, at least not in the real world.

OU grads wouldn't even get in the building unless we needed a janitor or something. Actually, to my knowledge we've never even let a Miami grad into our building either.

And now we know that neither OU nor Miami grads are partaking in the high-stakes career of gay porn. Good to know!

That's because you don't need a degree to work at McDonald's.

Sister went to Miami and was making 6 figures with her first contract as a Finance Major working at Johnson and Johnson. Id say it worked well for her.
