At least the pirates are getting smacked. St Louis winning again though.

Wright's slide a little short, which made him slow to get to the base, allowing Cozart enough time to get the tag down soon enough(at least to get the close call anyway) from the high throw to end the Mets 8th.

Dusty denied Latos a chance to get David Wright out for that putrid AB by Cairo?

On the 7th pitch of the AB, after 4 straight fouls, and with still only one strike, the lefty leaves a fastball in the dead middle of the strike zone, and Bruce hits it out, in a promising direction(for his hitting psyche) for a 3-0 walk-off win!

Jay Bruce is a pretty good baseball player. Latos had a decent game. No biggie.

Redmond will be called up to start one of the doubleheaders Saturday...there's a rule if you have a make up DH you can call someone up not on the 40 man to start that game.

That'll end the same 5 starters every game streak, but oh well.

His numbers are insane. I want to see what happens when he starts a game.

If the do call one up then yeah, it ends that streak but it reall doesnt matter. What does matter is that the starting 5 have been good enough, and healthy enough, to not land on the DL or get sent down or assigned a new position.

Now athat I said that I expect two players to go down in the next week, and then the freefall into 3rd place to start.

-----------Closer 1----Closer 2
SAVES:------31----------28
BS:-----------2-----------4
ERA:--------1.23---------1.26
W:-----------0-----------4
L:------------1-----------4
BAA:--------.121--------.127
K/9:---------15.8--------16.7
K/BB--------7:1---------7.6:1
WHIP--------.66---------.68

Dont get me wrong...there is no pitcher that I, and I think most fans around the league, want to see pitch more then Chapman, but the Braves closer has numbers that are right there, and some may say a skosh better than the Missile

I meant "still only one ball"! I think most of you figured that out! Sorry for the aging brain!

Is the rule someone not on the 40 man, or someone not on the 25 man, but on the 40 man? I would surely think it would be the latter.

You don't have to be on the 40 man at all according to Fay
