To answer the question, can I cook? Yes. But that's completely irrelevant.

The point is you are still assuming that just because someone eats food at a different pace that they are not enjoying it. I contend that I eat faster because that is my preferred way to actually enjoy the food. If it didn't bring the most satisfaction for me personally, then why would I do it?

Just because someone does something differently, doesn't mean they are wrong.

You aren't "listening." You are just assuming that your way has to be the correct way. While eating slowly might be your preferred way to enjoy food, it's not the preferred way for everyone. People are different.

I want to share my food with people I'd like to have in my company. If they want to eat faster than I do then I'm not going to hold that against them. I'll probably poke fun at them if they shove in a meal that I put a fair amount of thought or effort into but other than that I couldn't give a shit.

Even though it has been noted I will say that eating fast =\= not enjoying the food.

Just because a meal takes a good deal of time does not mean the consumption of said meal needs be lengthy.

Very slow. Ever since I spent three weeks in Spain and every meal was a two hour event I've taken my time with my meals. And I can't stand food that's too hot. Lukewarm is best.

Reps to you

Without knowing your answer does the food taste and do you enjoy the flavors of the cooking more.?

I think so, but I wouldn't tell someone they were wrong for eating at a certain pace.

I could careless that my friend eat fast but I'm not inviting him for dinner again. He can come over for hamburgers an heberw nationals but not gourmet meal. Give me and my skill the respect. Whether he tasted what he just choked down in five minute or not is not the point it's the respect of what was presented and the effort of the host respect others work and just maybe you will raise your own expectations

Smh. Gotta agree with the others on this one Belly. Respect based on how fast someone eats? That's just ridiculous.

That makes a lot of sense. Don't care but not inviting him for dinner again.

This is different that saying someone tastes flavors or enjoys food more or less based on the speed at which they eat it.

The problem you are having on this thread is not that your opinion is wrong, but, rather, that your communication skills are severely lacking.

Let put this in a different subject: You just detail your car inside and out .... removing all deer hair:)
You invite a friend to come over to watch Massillon lose to GlenOak bad season early. </SPAN>
Walk out to the car and the street light bounces of the car finish looking good bro. You would hope he sees that you put time into the detailing. He get in your car and the fist thing he does is fart... half way to pick up Pork Rinds and Blatz. Then he picks up a Slim Jim and eats it, placing his greasy hand on the outside of the passenger door with the window down on the way back ..
1. He see that the car is detailed .... the dinner is something more that just food
2. The car smell great inside and looks great outside...... is food smells great and the flavor of Blueberry Sauce Marinate Beef Brisket... this is just not a hunk of beef to be masticated
3. You worked all day &#8230; show a little respect </SPAN>

Ask yourself this next time you detail your car and mofo friend come over who car will you be taking to the corner for beer and chips? </SPAN>

Sorry some of you don't wash your cars or truck because it does help keep them nice or nor does it help you feel good about your lazy ass. :D

I don't know that I'd call someone messing up my newly-cleaned car a good comparison point for someone eating a meal I cooked faster than I want them too.

Someone messing up my newly-cleaned car = someone taking my nice meal, dumping it on the floor and grinding it into the carpet with their feet.

Someone eating my nice meal too quickly = someone not massaging my ego by spending at least five minutes praising how great a job I did on my car.

All this thread does is reassure me that I never want to eat a meal with Belly, or be friends with him, let alone hang out with him, or even meet him.

Sounds like a real asshole.

This. Your friend being inconsiderate, dirtying a detailed car has nothing to do with how quickly he eats.

TedSheckler;1245815 wrote:You don't do analogies that good either.
Maybe belly's gotten to the point of being able to slow life down, which is great. People do rush more nowadays, no doubt about that.
Belly eats slower than friends and even smokes cigars more slowly too.

The question is Belly thinks his friends are somehow wrong for not being as slow as himself.
