Also, technically, now your wife will be losing child support and will / should have to pay her ex child support. Doesn't this eat up up the "raise" she just got by job switch?

This is the thing that someone didn't take into account. Decisions are made up for the CHILD by (or with) the mom and dad -- or whoever are the legal guardians. Those are the only ones making the decisions.

A child can choose to live with whoever. If I were you, I'd see what could be done about getting back child support. It'll be a nice reimbursement for the girl's poor decision. Although, I do understand her wanting to stay at a school where all her friends are at. I just cannot imagine staying with a parent who hasn't really been involved, EVER.

Is the "old school" a open-enrollment district? This might cause some problems...

Don't worry - by spring, something will go wrong, and she'll come storming back to Mom. Prepare to go through this drama about every six months for the next five years.

The cost of a family is expensive for most people, who do you think feeds, clothes, and pays the bills so a family can have a roof over their head?

What you call a real roof is just an example being a good parent or role model, but you also left out guidance which includes making decisions that are best for the family as a whole.

So I assume that when a argument come up in your family there a score keep that keep track of the income and out going cost you have shelled out. Am I to also assume you being this up as part of your defends.

Not at all, but this situation involves a 13 yr old who wants to make decisions that affect the whole family. There is not a chance that a 13 yr old would make this type of decision if it was going jeopardize my business. The OP claims that it will cause a financial burden on the whole family and may cost him his business if she gets her way, it is called teaching responsibility to a child. As for keeping score, there is no score keeping in a family, you are all in it together to do what is best for everyone involved.

That shouldn't be a problem. Children can move to any school if they are living with parents. I'm not a stickler for OHSAA or any other high school rules...but I hate these transfer restrictions.
