Not a big fan of women's basketball. Beach Volleyball is pretty good, though.

As a girls basketball coach I enjoy watching the USA women's basketball team. No, they are not the athletes that the men are, but the game is more pure. By that, I mean the game has more passing, offensive sets and the game is played below the rim. I am sure there are a lot of OC'ers who feel differently. BTW, I much rather watch paint dry then watch a NBA game. Everyone is entitled to their wishes. :D

Is pure an euphemism for boring? The women barely get off the ground when they jump for a rebound, they remind me of giant babies with their arms outstretched trying to reach the ball.

And a 4-year old on a tricycle racing grandpa down the driveway is the "pure" form of BMX racing.

I actually enjoyed going to the girls' games in HS and in college.

Our HS team was pretty good (much more entertaining than the 5-15 boys team). They made it to the regional finals almost every year and won a few league titles. If anything, it was just something for most of the guys to do; eh, maybe it was because the student section was so much fun...

However, BGSU(w) were fun to watch. They're still a solid program that I follow even though I'm not in school anymore.

I think the biggest problem here with both the men's and women's team is that they're dominating so much, that it's not exciting to watch. Yea, the men can put on a clinic, but they themselves look bored after halftime. I think if someone challenged the women a little more, it'd make the game more entertaining. Is women's bad, yes. But, I think in the olympics basketball itself is bad because we've been pretty untouchable lately. I mean, the women are on a 40 game winning streak...
