It was close. He tagged him up around the letters though, so I thought he BARELY got in.

Next two innings are big for Latos.

Very small strike zone tonight.

Great job Latos. But wtf is he talking to the home plate ump. My guess, they come back and he's been tossed. Which would be stupid. You got the dp and have the 9 hole leading off next inning... Just go to the dugout.

To my surprise, he didn't get ejected.

Wandy just gave up a HR to a pitcher. SMH

That was hilarious!!! Latos hits a 2 run homer and a pirates fan caught it. His face was priceless, then he just tosses the ball over his head.

That was a line drive shot by Latos. I forgot it was the pitcher hitting with how fast that thing got out.

Stubbs mis-judged that fly ball blooper, costing the 2nd out. Now one out and two on, and it costs Latos leaving the game with a shut-out working.

And he has three hits, everyone within 20 degrees of the LF line!

I read somewhere that Broxton wasn't throwing as hard as he once did. Looks to be throwing pretty damn hard!

Buccos have grounded into a ton of double plays. We need another 1 or 2 to feel comfortable.

He had a poor jump, then took a bad angle and then refuses to sell out dive for it.... despicable effort. I can't fathom a player in the 8th inning of a big game with a runner on....botching the early part of the play and refuse to dive. If he dives he either catches it or holds the runner closer to first and Heisey has a chance for the force at 2nd.

This one is as good as over. Chapman has it.

Just for good measure, he sends a little business message to McCutchen!

102 to end it

Can't get a better all around pitched game than that!

I hope there's a "reply" to that "message" tomorrow night.

Might be. Probably expected. Although I don't see why he would intentionally do it, but the situation sure was perfect if you're going to drill their best player.

Great game for the Reds. Glad to see Latos with a fantastic outing after the other 4 starters just had a rough go of it.

Phillips may immediately come back to a pitch way inside tomorrow. Can't see any way that was intentional though, don't want to give them anything to get fired up about.
