He wasn't arrested or warned or anything? He was let go. What did he do that was stupid? Every hour the body consumed the alcohol of 1 "drinks" worth. So over 5 hours you can just basically subtract 5 of those drinks he had. Then considering he is such a big guy, it doesn't really seem like an issue considering by all the charts and everything his BAL would still be below the normal amount.

The High Horse Posse is out in full effect here.

Drinking and driving is different than being over .08 and driving. One is against the law..one is not. I don't see anything wrong with having 2 beers an hour (10/5hrs out) with dinner mixed in and driving. 30 minutes per beer? Seriously, Derek..can you drink any slower?

I've been pulled over for (suspicion of) drunk driving once.

It was hilarious.

(Only because I've never had a drink in my life, but at the time that I got pulled over, I was simply being a bad driver @ like 3 a.m., so I was probably asking for it.)

Many people do things and are never caught. getting caught has nothing to do with it. haha look at OJ.

had derek come on here and said "i wasnt drinking but was still tested for DUI", and gave a funny story, no one would care. but he instead claimed he passed with flying colors and admitted being borderline drunk.

and I was borderline...but on the right side of the border...the limit isn't .07... it's .08 - I know when to not drive and when I can, trust me. And .08 isn't drunk to me, it's just a # that the gov't uses...it's different for everyone.

Color me not informed, but how many beers are in a typical case? 24? 30?

I'm seriously asking.

depends on what you consider a case....could be a 12pk, 24pk, or 30 if it's like some special packaging...

typically a full case though is 24

30 in some, 24 in most--in this case, 24. And it was over roughly the same 5 hour period that derek is talking about.

8 beers over 5 hours for a 235 pound man WITH dinner mixed in is NOTHING. Legally, MAYBE drunk--but .08 is ridiculous. I'm not an advocate for raising it, I'm not big on drunk driving regardless of what anyone says about what I just posted. But if you can't operate a vehicle at .1, you shouldn't be driving sober.

I found this funny. Don't know why, but I did.

Society... Yes, I used to drink, and I have gone sober. The origination of my statement was directed towards the fact that someone had drinks, got behind the wheel, got pulled over, and got away with it. Throughout the thread, you can see how my thoughts had changed.

Blow me.
