I always find it amusing how some of the righties on this site are so indignant that there are those in our society who either pay a little less or earn a little more than they do. They are the first to claim that "class warfare" is being used by our President when they are guilty of doing just that.

The Bible tells us to take care of those less fortunate, but apparently that doesn't apply to the christian right. They like to hide behind their Bibles while they put their feet onto the throats of those less fortunate.

When did such callousness become the norm?

I don't want elected officials ruling by the Bible.

Blow smoke mofo here facts:
Who Really Cares • Arthur C. Brooks

Republicans give more money, blood and time than Democrats.

If Liberals donated blood as much as Conservatives, the blood supply would increase by 45%.

Seems that liberals rely on the government to provide charity. Conservatives would rather give directly.

Dingey Harry is claiming that an extremely credible source from Bain has told him that Willard didn't pay taxes for about a decade, which is why he is refusing to release his tax returns.

Romney is understandly outraged, but he is falling into Reid's trap with that comment about "putting up or shut up" with his claim about the not paying taxes.

It took Reid about 10 seconds to fire back that Willard could make this whole controversy go away (and make him look like a lying fool) by just releasing the tax returns.

Dingey Harry is now publicly saying that Willard passing up on the chance to humiliate him is proof of his claim being true because if it wasn't true he would be releasing the returns.

This is all part of the larger game to discredit Willard and his economic proposals because Obama is foaming at the mouth to make the argument that this guy doesn't pay taxes anyway, and has the nerve to suggest raising taxes on the middle class so he and the rest of the 1% can get even more.

I am surprised to see Romney got hooked. I would have ignored Harry Reid entirely and let him be a voice in the wilderness. Choosing to engage him though brings the issue back to the fore front and puts him in a box because Reid can say whatever he wants and shroud it in "Mitt can make this all go away and prove I am a liar" by releasing the returns, because he knows Romney won't under any circumstance.

"Taking care of those less fortunate" and clamoring for a centralized government authority to confiscate someone's earned wealth and redistribute it to others, for political purposes, are two entirely different things. Us Christian righties know the difference.

And while we're quoting the Bible, there are also commands not to steal and not to covet someone else's property. I don't suspect lefties ever read or comprehended those two.

jhay78: Yes, we do know the difference. But that never satisfies the left. They need their hands in YOUR pockets. It's all about control.

Maybe if we were a nation of laws and not men, these things would be tertiary. However, we have a POTUS and AG that only enforce laws they agree with, a Senate Leader that refuses to bring House Acts to the floor for debate, and a SCOTUS that seemingly uses the Constitution as a Wikipedia guide. A little revolution every now and then is a good thing.
