under.
Tigers series and a couple promotions will help, but no one cares to watch....I know I don't.

^^^and in regards to that offense, why are not reinforcements from Columbus being called up? There are numerous guys down there that are hitting well. Now I understand that service time and years of 'control' can be affected by bringing some players up early, but it appears that is more important than taking advantage of the 'window of opportunity' or trying to contend now.
Travis Hafner is on paternity leave....it is good to see that he's not striking out at home.

That's exactly what it is.I understand that service time and years of 'control' can be affected by bringing some players up early
On the Tribe post game call in shows on local radio I have heard your point brought up more than a few times, and it all comes down to service time and years of control with this management group.
From what I gather they are not going to throw away a year of control on a player to come up to help a less than sure thing. Kind of like burning a guys redshirt in college late in the year when you aren't really going anywhere.
Everything with this regime comes down to dollars and cents when making decisions. It is that refusal to pay attention to the goodwill created by fielding a competetive team that has created the situation we are in.
I did hear an interesting theory being thrown around on the post game shows last night that if the tail spin continues they might be tempted to dump Acta and let Sandy have the job as a way of deflecting the blame from management for the poor season.
Cleveland fans eat up nostalgia, and Sandy is one of our guys. It would at least create a temporary positive headline. Not unlike last year when they brought Thome in to milk his return to gloss over how they fell out of contention.

I think I might have to take a hiatus from the Tribe for an extended period.
For all of the people who rip on the Browns for being "losers" while the Tribe had minor "successes" (since the John Hart era), all I have to say is "at least Lerner TRIED." Yes, the Browns have sucked but Lerner was never a penny pinching miser like Dolan.
Until Dolan sells this team I just can't get behind them. If he passes it down to his family I may just take a hiatus from MLB, PERIOD. I can't watch the shit they put out on the field year in and year out without even TRYING.

Agreed. I'm not watching another tribe game this year, I can't take this shit anymore. I'll watch the pirates and nationals the rest of the year if i want to watch baseball

why do I even bother to follow this team. Back to back sweeps by Minnesota and KC? Seriously? Thanks Olymics for giving me other sports entertainment to keep me away from this misery.

im only 26 but i know i will never see a championship in cleveland. I kinda feel jealous that my dad got to experience browns last championship in 1964. IF we could just win one championship with tribe, browns or cavs I would be satisfied be a scratch off my bucket list.
