Is this guy going to holdout and miss games this year, or will he be in camp before the Stillers 3rd preseason game? Would take the risk on him in your fantasy league and keep him over guys like Nicks, Maclin and even a potential breakout guy like Eric Decker?

I don't follower the steelers enough to know the ins and outs of his contract demands and the steelers dealing with him, but I'll say its rare that a player holds out long enough to start deducting paychecks.

For fantasy, I'd take Nicks over him everytime, esp since he really fell off last 8 games of the season.

Isn't Nicks hurt right now? If Nicks is healthy then I'd take Nicks over Wallace but Wallace over Decker and Maclin...Maclin sucks.

Nicks is rehabbing from a broken foot, is on track to be participating fully in training camp by middle of August.

The I'd rank them, Nicks, Wallace, Decker, and Maclin. With Michael Vick at QB Maclin is too risky to start.

They just signed Antonio Brown to a 5 years deal. Word on the Pittsburgh thread is that he could be traded.

I haven't been keeping up lately. I'd like to know what Madden has to say on the issue. He's always good for a laugh when contract issues come up.

I don't think they could get very much for him in a trade. If a team wanted him they would have made him an offer in the offseason as he was a restricted free agent. It would have cost a first round tender so the trade will be less then that for sure.I know a lot of people they he can only thrive in on the long ball and with rothlisberger. Could you image drew brees and him paired together. Also I saw a stat somewhere that at his age the only wrs who had better stats was Randy moss.

They could probably get a 2nd round pick for him in a trade. Hell, they'll get a 3rd round compensatory pick if they lose him so it would have to be a 2nd but wouldn't be a 1st as was stated because a team would have signed him to an offer sheet when they had the chance to.

Colbert came out and said that Wallace is not available for trade after that started coming up in the media. However, if a team is contending and has a WR go down and the deal was right sometime this season.... I bet they'd trade him. If he sits out the whole season...he'll be a restricted free agent again next year. He could sit out the first 10 games and come back for the last 6 so he could become an unrestricted free agent next offseason. I'd proceed with caution regarding Wallace in a fantasy draft. This could drag out and there is no guarantee the Steelers even activate him for the last 6 if he sits out the first 10. I'd pick him as a value pick later in a draft if he's still there in the event things get resolved.

Also, I think Vick is gonna rebound in a big way this season. And Maclin was pretty good last season. Desean Jackson....not so much. Maclin would not be a bad pick at the appropriate time IMO.

This.

Antonio Brown is a much more polished receiver. The only thing Wallace is proficient at is running 9's.

I think Wallace is better than most here are giving him credit for but he's insane if he thinks he deserves the money he's asking for.

Yeah, when you're talking about a sport with a salary cap (so teams can't just pull the "FUCK IT ALL, WE'RE THE GODDAMN YANKEES!!!" card), if a guy wants to be paid like the best in the league...he probably should perform like he's among the best in the league with a bit more consistency than he has. He's had great plays and great games. He's also had a lot of games where his contributions are minimal. And, as has been repeated a lot, he doesn't have the overall versatility that Antonio Brown does, meaning he isn't even really considered the top guy on the team...let alone a top guy overall in the league.

Maybe it won't be but it certainly was last year. Even though Cincy is on the way "up".....I still think the division comes down to Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

I think the steelers have some issues but should still make the playoffs. But it wouldn't surprise me if they don't. No mendenhall, maybe no Wallace, aging defense, 2 rookie o lineman. Ben could be beat up, and is getting older.

Cincy on the way "up" remains to be seen. Still have to beat a +.500 team..

Might not have to. Cleveland should get us two wins. Should split with Pittsburgh and Baltimore and then they just have to find 5-6 more wins in there

Only way they beat us twice is if we GIVE them one like last year. They SHOULD split.
