Sadly, I was not in Washington Court House for the Fayette County Fair this year, but I heard it really sucked. Seems like the last few times I have went, it's went really downhill.

County fairs became pretty lame once I realized running around, stalking girls was a young kids game.

The southern half of Columbiana County (the dirty redneck half south of US 30) basically takes over the fairgrounds, it gets interesting fast.

Salem is right on the Columbiana/Mahoning County border, so most people up there just wait for the Mahoning County (Canfield) Fair a month later.

Franklin County Fair is average since it's basically in Hilliard.

Grew up showing cattle and sheep at the Wood County Fair. For the most part, it's pretty hardcore country western farmer -- multiple arrests have happened over the years involving people making the fair serious business by drugging their lambs and cows with performance enhancers -- but with a mix of city trash from BG thrown in. Haven't gone back in years except to see my little sister show, but I imagine that sex still happens underneath the Big Slide. The gangsters and pedophiles usually stay by the gold fish toss and attractions (death traps).

Not many "hoodrats" at the Monroe county fair. You are lucky to see a black person there. It's all hicks and high schoolers.

Franklin Country fair here in Hilliard has it's share of characters. Whenever there's a Tractor Pull or Demo Derby the hicks come out, but other than that nothing "hoodrat". I only go to Ohio State fair to people watch haha.

Ours is total white trash. Tshirts are optional. You can always take them off and go bare chested with your shirt over your right shoulder. I haven't been to ours in years, actually decades, but I'm sure it's them same. Right down to the Mullets and 'likes to fight guy.'

It's been 25 years since I've been to the fair where I grew up (Medina County) so I have no idea how trashy it is or has gotten.

I am disapoint. And you call yourself a member of the WCM.

At the Wayne county fair you just avoid the ride/carni game area on Saturday and Sunday if you don't want to run into all the trash. Other than that it's probably the second best fair county fair in Ohio. (Canfield).

I haven't been to the Richland County fair in about 10 or 12 years so I can't really say. There was always a solid amount of white trash from I remember but it was never horrible.

The Ross County Fair is pretty nice. Of course you have your fair share of kids running around trying to be gangster, but for the most part they have great facilities and not much trouble. There are about 500 campers that get pulled in for the week, so most of the fun is back in the campground. These days I only go to watch my niece show and sell.
