Phelps had a slight edge in the fly, nothing really changed on the back. Lochte had a more powerful breast stroke kick (Phelps' kick looked lazy), which was the difference.

Missy Franklin is leading the US off.
She looks good for the first 50, 1st at the wall. Builds the lead a little at the 100. Missy gives up some ground on the 3rd 50.
Ends up 3rd overall at the 200.
But she put the US in a good position as the silver and bronze medalists were also on that 1st leg (the 2 who beat her).

Vollmer is the 2nd leg (WR holder and Gold medalist in 100Fly).
At the 100M Vollmer has retaken the lead for USA.

Not sure who the 3rd leg is for the US. But we have Schmitt as the anchor which bodes well.

match point for US, and the US wins it. Very close match from Austria, US lost their first set in years but battled back.
