another huge medal day for US, lot's of gold medals. US opened up a big lead in medal count, up 11 on China 90 - 79.

I do respect that Japanese team. I mentioned it earlier, but they seemed to fall down less than any other international soccer team (men's or women's). They don't dive. Great game by both teams.

The 800M winning time was ridiculous. New world record. Both US runners just missed the medal stand with 4th and 5th place finishes.

Both Solomon and Symmonds run a personal best under 1:43.

Found a good quality video of that Canadian female soccer player stomping on Carli Lloyd's face. For anyone who was arguing that Canada got the raw deal, watch this video and any sympathy goes away. Canada should have been playing the majority of the second half down 1 player as that is a red card flat out.
