Homer thru 7 with 89 pitches and a sorely needed add-on run via the Bruce HR. The slumpers now have 3 of the Reds 4 hits scoring both runs and getting both RBIs. I just wish they could score more without the aid of HRs!

Rolen with one right in his wheelhouse that jumped off the bat! If he can't get in with the double and advance, he just takes the entire run scoring attempt into his own hands!

I don't think I'd send homer back out. But he's been really really good tonight.

Homer makes it to bat in the 7th having 97 pitches, so Dusty won't have to contemplate pinch hitting for him in the bottom of the 8th in case he would have had a quick 8th.

Bruce with a defensive play that pretty much matches Rolen's in the first inning for poorness in not getting the out.

Ludwick should've made that play relatively easily.

Looked like they had him playing in.

Homer would have had a complete game shut-out if Rolen, Bruce, and Ludwick would have converted those out chances they had in the 1st and 8th innings.

Or if Heisey was in for Bruce and then Luddy in the 8th then Homer goes 8 scoreless.....had Timmons (home ump) calls the Aoki pitch a ball and Gomez went on Bruce's throw...would've had 2 in the first

Yep, that is why we watch the games! All those plays and how they go make each game interesting, and full of "what if" scenarios! That's why I want to be there at the start of each game to see the whole thing unfold.
