In back to back weeks the Sooners from the Big 12 have knocked off a SEC team and one from both divisions, one at home and one on the road. The Sooners are now 2-0 on the young season. The game changed on the first drive for Florida. They took the opening kick off and drove right down the field setting up a 1st and goal from OU 3 yard line. After the first 3 attempts Florida failed to get a TD. So on 4th and goal from the 1 inch line Coach Rawlings and the Gators tried once more. The play was shut down from the beginning by penetration and Senior FS Tony Jefferson cleaned it up taking down the ball carrier inches from a Gators TD. So OU defense got big momentum for the Sooners and it carried over to the offense. On OU first play, back up QB Drew Allen took the option 99 yards for a TD. The stadium was quite and the Florida players looked lost. OU went on to score 35 straight point in the half before Florida scored on a hail mary right before the half.
OU defense had 2 interceptions returned for TD's, they had 3 total. The offense had 394 total yards 281 by way of the ground. Dominique Whaley had 112 on 20 carries. Senior QB Landry Jones only had 4 pass attempts but competed 3 of them for 113 yards and 2 TD's. All around it was a pretty solid game for the Sooners. Next week the Sooners host #13 Clemson.

Why the hell would you go for 2 down 25? Kick the PAT and get it to 24 and all you need is 3 TDs and 3 2 pt conversions to tie. If you are down 25 you might as well be down 28 because you need 4 TDs either way.

Did your defense continually over run the read option? I had it blown up most of the time only to have my guys run past the ball carrier. Who is ksu qb? The great white hype?

I just suck...played good first quarter then lost it, fumbles and would get to third and then let big 3rd down conversion.
